I have never read so many stupid comments in my life. Social work is a profession of many many different faucets ( School Social Work, Hospital Social Work, Crisis, Advocacy etc). Where I live the social work that I assume is being referred here is Child and Family services. Let me tell you as a student in social set to graduate this coming April, there is no place that more student social workers dread more then working for Child and Family services. OH MY GOD you guys are morons, you sound like my mother. I moved out at 16 (stupidly) and eventually couldnt go to school because i needed to work. The only person who could help me was a social worker, she didnt side with me and told me i should go home, but gave me recources. They help the traumatized get better while the busy nurses leave them in a cold hospital room. Fucking retards.
