so he doesent need to place the mushroom each time he harvested them.

u do konw u can make a mushroom farm without all that complicated wiring, like all mine does is uses the pistons as a flood gate and when I want it to I use it and it sends water down to collect the mushrooms while the "host" shrooms are elevated by 1 block

I think you do need the pistons under the mushrooms because when a water destroys a mushroom from above it doesn't drop anything

I recommend using a lever instead of a button - then you can just turn the thing on, wait for the mushrooms to get there, and then turn it off. No need for fancy timing. ;3

i am working on a project that raises walls out of the ground using pistons and red stone but i could not find why some pistons got stuck, but now i get its because there is a repeater under those blocks that switches off at a later time then the line above so it keeps the block powered

Ant, I have a much better and efficient mushroom farm that is also automatic, if you want to copy/duplicate my design I have no problem with sending vid or screenshots of it to you, but this is only if you want another efficient mushroom farm. :) Also, I have a flower and seed generator, automatic one, if you want that one too.
