  • Great video, I have a Magpie also. Can you tell me how you made the forward mount? Thanks,

    Mike ( jman203@yahoo.com)

  • @jman203 Thanks very much. I have since retired this as an AP plane, but put the wing onto a modified Bombardier plane. As for the mount, I made it out of some basswood stock. I have some photos posted on Wattflyer that might help. If you PM me, I can drop you a link to them. Cheers ! James

  • Thanks pal! Appreciate your advice.

  • Awesome! Is the Magpie AP easy to build?

  • Thanks. The Magpie is a kit that takes a little time and effort to complete. I would not call it easy, but if you take your time and plan before you glue, it will work out. Have fun!

  • hey man whats the name of the song?

  • at 0:26 you can see the pilot in the white at the bottom right!!! lol Great vid man!

  • Thanks for watching!

  • hi great videos, i see other rc plane videos and when the plane crashes it explodes and burns, if the magpie ap crashes does it explode and catch fire?

  • The ones that you see exploding are usually the jets. They use a highly flammable fuel mixture (Jet Fuel) that will explode with spark. When they crash, they explode. All of my stuff these days are electric and run off high power Lithium Polymer batteries. The chance of them exploding are pretty slim, but the batteries could if struck just right. Not an issue really. People have more problems with fires when charging the batteries than with crashes. Have fun & thanks for watching! ~ James

  • Great job! The new mount did make it a lot more stable. The landing was also very good since the plane was going fast. If that were me landing it would either crash into the woods or be trampled and chewed up by my dog.

  • can u plz tell me what camera that is?

  • It was in the credits at the end, but it is canon SD200 Digital. They are no longer made, but can be found on ebay. Canon has great compression settings for movies.

  • oops. srry when i asked what plane it says in the title. lol. i didnt look when i added the comment.

  • No worries. Thanks for watching and posting up. You will enjoy the aerial video stuff.

  • Excellent! Smooth video from the camera. Really good flying as well.

  • Thanks Eric. I Think it will work well with the new realtime downlink and Video Goggle. Cheers.
