I freezeframed to find out who the person with the staright hair backstage was-Mary Austin perhaps? I freezframed about 3 times but still can't work it out..
Hi, Steve ! When I've seen that you had uploaded this video, I immediatly wanted to watch it. Well done, having posted that video, I've enjoyed just 1/2h after having been awake. It's a good way to be awake, and to begin the day in a cool way !!! Later, mate. BYE !
Queen were a hard, edgy , rock & roll band on LPs 1 & 2. Much different than the commercial band we've all come to know and love. Queen2 is still one of my favorite albums of all time. Saw the boys 4 times between '77-'80; Toronto, and Detroit. Absolutely amazing every time. Stage show and lights were unbelievable.
@Shotskiband LOL yea he reminds me of Ashton (or Ashton reminds me of him tehe) when he was on that 70s show. I thought I was the only one to think that.. lol
@Canaveral305 it's after-perfomance studio overdub. read here queenlive.ca/queen/74-03-31.htm . Really i agree with you it sounds great, but on existing live perfomances tapes of middle 70s you will never find such heavy sounding
Queen II es la verdadera escencia de lo que representaba el grupo. Definitivamente mi favorito, gracias por compartirlo; después de todo nosotros hacemos que continue vigente.
This is the Queen I LOVE!! Why do the Radio stations only play "your my best friend" which I Fuckin HATE????!!!! I LOVE EARLY QUEEN this is Fuckin Great Stuff!!!!!! ;)
well if they are, they are overdubbed from another live performance because i can tell this is not the studio vocals. his adlib vocals are alot different.
No, I think that the "I Want You" bits are overdubbed, not the rest. The audio is from a planned LP release of this gig, so some overdubs are quite likely, but certainly not the whole song
@drloo06 No way!! I have the live bootleg LP and it sounds exactly the same (apart from the new sound remastering). Queen got more lazy over the years when it comes down to doing the harmonies live. This is a fantastic performance! One of the best IMHO.
I keep forgetting how badass Freddie and Queen were until I see stuff like this.
What's funny is that they established badassness to the masses with thier popular songs.....which are nowhere near as badass as the songs that never get played on the radio.
If you're talking about the "what comes next?" bit in the middle, I'm pretty sure it's because the music it being taken from a superior source than the video, and that little bit might've been edited out of the audio master... it happens.
It makes sense to me now! I saw Queen for the first time at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston in 1975. The first song they sang was "Now I'm Here," and Freddie was wearing THIS SAME white shirt. I remember it well because he was backlit, and had his arms outstretched -- so he looked like a bat. We talked after the show about that opening. So the tour started in 74', but it was 75' by the time they got to the States!!! Saw them many times after that! One of the alltime great bands!!!

id say Hendrix had more of an influence on Queen than The Beatles did.

Man, it's so RAW, I can really feel the passion in this performance.
They should TOTALLY remaster old footage like this and sell it instead of repackaging the same old 80's videos they recycled over and over again.D:

Freddie and Roger are just too hot to handle!! *sigh* I LOVE YOU FREDDIE AND ROGER!!!

Wow. Queen productions should remaster this in HD, like they did with Montreal 1981, instead of letting the footage rot in an archive! 5 stars
You2Too 3 years ago 3
I think it all depends on what camera it was filmed on. Though it'd be a great idea. Not sure whether they can remaster it so much.
