i love how certain chord progressions sound so very 90s...such as this. I wonder what it is that makes a chord progression sound...90s. Lots of power chords and b3 b5 and b7 chords it seems...but still, even if you use those chords there's no guarantee it will sound..."90s"
I so miss that time. I was born in 83...so I only lived it through the eyes of kids who were older than me...but I could tell that it was special, even back then.
Whenever I got high with my friends, I always listened to this song several times. It just felt so great, and filled me with joy to hear this masterpiece.
wow. how the hell have i never heard this?? just goes to show...this band is so amazing, you can be a die hard lifelong fan, and still come across songs that are new to you after years. and on top of that, chances are it'll be an incredible song. here we go again. best band of the 90s hands down.
the first time i heard this song i was on acid and i simply thought that if this music were to end my life was gonna end with it. becus it was such an emotional 4 minuts for me at the time. still a fabulous and great song.
I love this song, someone gave me a a case of all these rare songs of theirs around 2002 (this song was included in the mix, but I have a different...more simpler version of it). maybe I should upload some of them. by the way 'Speed' is another really good one.
@Gamagachee ANY clue wat kind of effects he's using on this? I think it's some kind of rack mount either that or ehx flangers and phsers, not sure tho...
Thank you so much for posting this. One of the best pumpkin tracks ever I only heard it for a couple of seconds on Pastichio Medley. Amazing guitar work and tone, i think he might actually be playing to a drum machine
Really great moody guitar. At 1:57 that's Scott Pilgrim. I can't wait for that movie this summer. This is my favorite Pumpkins instrumental. It also sounds like something Siversun Pickups was inspired by.
I agree, Imthe... everything's been said... and yet, internally, we have no words for the way this music moves us... Im a poet and I dont know what to say... FUCK!! IT'S DELICIOUS!
I know this has been said before, but I really *really* wish music was like this again. Emotional, consequential, bleeding, wounded, scarred, real music!
Not this subserviant, weak, meaningless pop we're force fed.
@ImTheOneThatIWant123 Instead you get autotuned bullshit. Teeeelll meeehhhhhh, what's really goin ooooooooiiinnn... Drizzyy back up in dis thing im ready.. whats hatt-i-niiiiinnnnnn

What slimy son of a bitch gave me a thumbs down about my fake feelium comment? if you knew half as much about the Pumpkins as I do you'd realise that the particular version I'm referring to was actually pretty good. Assholes
Wow, dont you have a way with words. You got a thumbs down because you made it sound like you'd rather hear that version than this version. And now you're getting thumbs down for having an ego.
man years and years ago there used to be a fake version of "Feelium" floating around that some other band had put up on Napster. It was brilliant! But god knows where I could find it now.
try shrooms today kids!!!! theyre not like crack.. theyre wholesome!!!!!!!! take shrooms and run naked through the woods howling at the moon. then you might have a little more insight on what life is all about. anyway, cool song never heard this version.

I once wrote a rambling dark poem to this song. The effect of it overtakes me.

Great vid,really!
The distortion suits the song perfectly!
The selection of pics is nice as well;they show how unique the pumpkins were in their 'strangeness'!

I can't understand why the Pumpkins chose songs like "We only come out at night" and "Beautiful" over this..

This is my favorite song of all time. I wish Depresso wasn't just the riff, and there was more to it. I love that riff so much.

I know, don't you hate it? I'm in a band as the lyricist and guitar, and I'm heavily influenced by Corgan's emotions (being a teenager and all XD)
But on the same part, you can't have lyrics without music. Otherwise it's not a song, it's the Yin and Yang that we have to do.
But you're right, everything's been said. It's so depressing.
