@bombsxgoxboom bulls are color blind the only reason they chase it is because it's moving and they're already pissed off because they tie a string around their balls
I've always been told to use ONLY calcium sand because the other sands WILL impact them, calcium sand might, but runs less of a risk because it's easier for them to digest if they do end up eating some.
@poplittelskid1 heat rocks aren't recommended. If you use a heat lamp it should heat up the rock naturally like the sun would in the wild.
And yes, bearded dragons CAN see red. They see it like a bull does, they don't like it.
i gotta question. my beardie used to eat veggies and fruits all the time when he was around 8 months, but now he is 2 yrs old and he hardly eats any . what do i do?
i gotta question. my beardie use to eat veggies and fruits all the time, when he was around 8 months and alittle bit older, but now he is 2 yrs old and he hardly eats any. what do i do?
that was the first and only time shes ever done that and second of all my breeder whos been breeding bearded dragons for 25 years says its a sign of nervousness
guys im getting a young one soon bout 19 cm long under a year, should i still use repti-carpet or use sand or is it to high risk of them swollowing the sand while eating. i will feed them in the viverium for more natural hunting
sand is fine and looks better but never use cal sand use kilm blasted or play sand they won't impacted they live in the desert i have never had a beardie die or get impaction and i always feed them in the inclosure but if you feed them worms but them in a dish crickets are fine to run around repti carpet is fine as well
well that really depends they are certainly not boring for me they are fun, very interesting, they are very easy to keep, the thing is dont buy one unless you are sur you can take careof it give it attention cause they live quite awhile i love my bearded dragons they are lots of fun
yer i do have time to care for it and can get a custom built viv which will be a good size. i think i will get one i have reserched alot so im guna buy the stuff then get the dragon later :) i was just woundering whether they get less active as in bask and do nothing else lol. by the way good vid
ooo hyes they run around their cage when you feed them they go crazy
its fun to watch it lol yes they do bask quite a bit but thats only cause theyre cold blooded but i see my drgons all over the cage running around and stuff you just have to get the perfect temperature and they will be very active to low and they wont be very active and to high they will stay away from heat
take them out every day, most beardies love being handled and there one of the more active lizards so great pets. i used to have an iguana :P there big but boring :) get a beardie im geting mine in a few months after i get every thing.
hey dude lol i love your bearded dragon and good job on having a big tank :) mines 90 gallons so yours is the same width but mine is taller :( kinda sucks cause you have to reach down far but hey spike loves it lol 5/5 subscribed and added as a friend :)
can ya check out my vids?, any recomendations before i get my beardie?
