I have a male dalmatian called Pongo, he is far from crazy, but my friends gran had TWO dalmatian's and they BOTH were crazy, very crazy. Dalmatian's are known for their deadly tails, well my friends granny's dalmatians whacked their tails soo hard that they needed plasters on their tails! But they eventually whacked them off too, so they had to remove some furniture from the room to stop them whacking their tails off it ! LOL.

the reason why she may does this.. a dalmation needs to at least run 3-4 hours a day along side a bike. they used to run along side of coaches. the NEED to run. i can tell since we have one ourselfs (2years old).

Dalmations have an extremely high energy level. They were once used as carriage dogs and would run alongside the carriages through the rural areas and protect the occupants. They were once used by fire departments to run ahead of the horse drawn fire wagons to bark and sound the alarm in order to clear the streets so the fire wagon could pass safely. I have never owned a finer animal and I have owned and been around hundreds and perhaps thousands. Few humans compare.

Fantastic song, but what does the dog has to do in the bed? You should train her not to enter the bed, because it is your place - as the alpha dog. If you let her always be at your fave places and so on she would think she's over you which can impact problems. So, just a hint. I had this with my giant schnauzer, we mustn't let him do such things - or he will fight us in a mental way.

i dont know why people post nasty comments. ive owned many dogs and from experience i can say they are subject to random bursts of energy. i can read the body language pretty good too. dogs wag their tails when they are HAPPY!!! this dog is totally beautiful and so not any of the nasty things sum of the commenters are saying. thank you for posting this video! ;0)

But no, the dalmatian in the video clip does not fall under the above cases--I have seen dalmatians who play, running to and fro, in the same manner, no matter how wide the space.

Nonetheless, when he gets to a space where he can play as he pleases--say, a wide flat section of the park surrounded by trees on all sides--he runs until the boundary of one side, turns back and runs until the boundary of the opposite side, and along the perimeter until he exhausts himself, evidently happy. Then he rests, and does it again.

My Caroline is 14 now. She has been in my life since I was 5 years old now I'm 19 and she has been the best thing that happened to me. I heard that dalmatians last only like 13 years, that not thruth... my girl is in great conditions, she still plays a lot. I also used to have a dal boy. He was very mean. His name was Alexander, and he killed 2 cats, my neibors poodle and he attaked me when I was 6 years old. My mom had to sacrifice him. But Caroline is a Angel. She is a great dog.
