right now i've started back on the obagi nu derm for 2 months just for the hyper pigmentation but will do my 8th chemical peel after the first 4 weeks of the nu derm system. i think i'm planning on doing chemical peels once a month to once a month and half till i feel my skin is better (or when the aesthitician says i should stop).

my cousin and her daughter, who has way better skin then i, actually do chemical peels once every 1.5 months.

my skin was a lot like yours where i had scars and would break out (depend on my stress level). i used obagi nu derm system for 4 months and it helped me with my oily skin but not so much my acne or scars. a year later i started doing chemical peels and using the obagi pore therapy bottle together. with these two, i hardly if ever break out and my scars are (very) slowly disappearing. i've had 7 chemical peels so far and after the 7th peel, i can see a big change in my skin and acne scars.

I had hyper pigmentation on my upper cheeks and forehead, I have done IPL treatments, which helped a little. The Obagi C Rx System is what really fixed it. The C Clarifying Serum is the best. I used it as a chemical peel on segregated areas; i used it for 3 days and then stopped to allowed it to peel and repeated for one more week. Brown spots are gone. Cleansing Gel does not dry out my skin. Day and night cream is the only product that properly moisturizes my face. Highly recommended.

You should try Amnesteem. Its a prescription drug (generic for Accutane). I was a little bit nervous trying it at first because I didn't have horrible acne. I broke out in the same areas everytime, but it was definitly moderate acne, not severe. My doctor let me try it because he considered my condition "chronic". Within 3 months of taking the medication, my face was COMPLETELY clear. I didn't have a single blemish for over a year. I use Proactiv now to keep it looking good.

I've used this product Obagi and loved it. I guess I can see your skin looks with alot of pimple scars. Micro plus obagi made my skin look flawless and gorgeous. I had many comments on how my skin just radiated. I'm sorry it didn't do much for you. I referred my sister to do mico dermabrasion + obagi. i think your estheticians have recommended a wrong Obagi system. The one on your video is for someone with pigmentation (blotchy yellow & freckles & etc). You should be using Obagi C Serum. Obagi is a wonderful products as all clients love it.

I think that you are using the wrong obagi (O-bah-gee) product for your skin. You should be using the Nu Derm enhancement series. You have to give the product at least a month to see clear results and you must follow directions! Also you may need to consider changing estheticians (est-a- tishans) because any good one would never do microderm and chemical peels on skin using obagi. Obagi, if used properly and consistently is one of the best products on the market for any type skin!

ooh I used to use one of those obagi face cleanser.. in like a white bottle with blue letters. It waas I believe like reddish liquid gel type of cleanser. It smelled clean and I liked it a lot! you should try that one instead of this one.. I was also recommended by a skin care person waaayy back when broke out like crazy and was going through laser treatments to get rid of the scarring back when I was like 16, about 4 yrs ago.

I am a licensed medical esthetician, I have many many clients on Obagi and I seen wonderful results. If you are experiencing acne, you should have been on the Obagi Nu Derm system, NOT the Obagi-C. Obagi also has a new acne line out for those who have issues with blackheads and oil. I don't think you were given the right products. Did they tell you to use Tretinoin with Obagi- C ?

benzoyl peroxide does dry out my skin a bit but i make sure to moisturize at night.

salicyclic acid is not very effective on my skin.

at this moment, i do not use differin.

I actually saw an ad at a high end spa which was advertising "sodium bicarbonate facial"---duh for the average American person, they don't know that means straight up baking soda. Make a paste in the palm of your hand apply, work in gently and let sit for a about 3-5 minutes, rinse and pat dry. You're done.

You have beautiful skin. Wash your face 2 times a week with baking soda/sodium bicarbonate. It will rid of any acne AND neutralize any acidity and raise the PH on your skin. Good Luck!

Quit mispronouncing the word "esthetician" OMG!  Remember, you defeating the purpose of all these facial/anti-aging products if you're slapping Benzoyl Peroxide on your face. Benzoyl Peroxide is a radical agent--free radical, which accelerates the aging process. It's already enough that acne accelerates the aging process. Ditch it.

Go to your regular Dr.and ask them to put you on Deferin. I used that and it really helped.

Oh yeah and I know you use mineral makeup so that it doesnt clog up your pores but the ones you use might be making your acne worse. I just found purley minerals (not pure lux)and they have only minerlas that wont clog your pores. Try them and maybe you can do a review on them.

Hope I don´t sound rude now, but why haven´t you paid a visit to a dermathologist? My brother had severe acne for years, I mean really bad, he had breakouts almost daily. And then he went to a dermatologhist and got facial treatment every week or so, and start using products from MD formulations and decleor which the dermathologist recommended. Two months later, his skin has improved considerably.

haha yes, I probably am too young for chemical peels. however, that was what I had to do to take care of my severe acne scarring. I definitely do not recommend it for everybody.

I'm very happy with my current skincare routine.
