On this bed I used a spring-only type of mechanism from Lee Valley Hardware. I have used the Create-a-bed hardware on another project and like it. Thanks for the compliments.
Great job, brother. I think that these home shows on HGTV should be incorporating the wall bed into their design plans. I would definitely love them in every room in my home. I wonder why schools and hospitals and hotels don't use more wall beds. Did you use the Create-a-bed hardware? I am a college student and haven't been able to afford one, but I am dreaming. The wood is alder stained with a Minwax cherry with a little walnut mixed in.
