Thanks, after watching your vid i was able it get my Schlage open in under 5 min!! . I had been going at it on and off for weeks and all it took was an counter clockwise pick!

-And quit putting yourself down, calling yourself a "looser" and saying you're "really bad at it" is not good. Having an "I can do it" positive kind of attitude will get things done for you.

I did pick it but I was turning the barrell the wrong way :( Now I cant pick this fucking lock now that try turning the barrell "clockwise" which is the way that will open it. I hear all 5 pins click but the fucker will NOT turn. Any thoughts? I am using a basic set. I use the smallest pick with a basic tension wrench

@bruno2260 I came home today feeling much better. I have yet to "pick" pick this lock but I was able to RAKE it open. I found that plug spinner video to be very useful. Thank you.
im a begginer and my front door is a schlage lock so should in an emergency should i pick the bakdoor with 2 lock not schlage or the front door schlage
I have two Schlages at home, and it took me 3 hours to pick just one of them. I've tried all the techniques, raked it over and over, turned it counterclockwise, done the vibrating motion, etc. My fingers are absolutely raw, so if anyone has tips on how to pick a Schlage, please tell me.
you say "locks usually open counter clockwise"...am i correct to also assume that they usually open towards the hinges of the door? Nice picking as always

I guess what I'm looking for but have been unable to find is the trick to picking the chambers with security pins rather than just getting lucky.

@Maxipad44142 Look up my vid "Schlage spinner". If you can only pick the lock the wrong way this will come in handy if you don't have a plug spinner.
