At least the heat is vented out thought the vent and the key bord is a 20degrees different not like my crappy toshiba notebook which keeps the heat in it all the time and spoils the graphic card

guys i just bought the bran new asus G51JX-A1 which is only in winnipeg and it hasthe nvidia geforce gts 360m and im wondering what up with the blue screen of death cuz i had one yesterdy and it got that right away when i ran world of warcraft so i returned it and got this new model anoyone else know if i'll get BSOD on this to while playing world of warcraft? thanks

dude if it was 100C it youldn't run at all it will melt maximum CPU temp at the core is 60 and 60 is very very high so definately farenheit... in other terms its around 25-27 on the keyboard and pad and on the exhaust 35-39

Yeah... I have the G50vt-X5 and it's pretty much this but older with worse components. It's nowhere near as hungry as this thing and while getting it through one class is possible it wont last much longer. Just something to consider I suppose, and if you only need it for one class it's probably fine, but you will definitely want a backpack if you'll be taking it to classes as it weighs a tonne.

i bought this baby and it comes w/ a backpack and its actually not that heavy for college use (i am in college). for the heat, get a cooler, i recommend the zalman nc2000

no i mean this one with n 260. after 3d mark vantage... at test is written that at core is about 90*C degress at CPU.... this laptop have very big problem with cooling.

I7 and undervolt 260 is still too much for only One cooling fan.

It is still only asus :)

laptop speakers are always crap, not sure if it has a subwoofer ... if it had one i would remove it. Batterly life, not very long, 6cell/8cell about 2-4hours on max load i assume.

i dont need crappy sound quility that y...and 2 hard drives isnt amazing any more...look at the hp hdx 18t(i have it thays why)it cought the best sound quility on any laptop and 2 hardrives plus IF it fells the hard drive lock to prevent damage...this about it will you?

i just bought it actually, there is a fan under it but its not really an intake, its kinda just a funky cover design. sound quality isnt so great, its just a laptop. if your gaming on a laptop you should have headphones or your own speakers. and it should be plugged in. this thing will last an hour and 15 minutes at MOST, on battery saving mode while not running a game.anyone know anything about an extended battery?
