  • Idk why but I Wana chew on the cpu

  • I have a good processor Core 2 Quad Q8400 is a 3

months and I regret not having bought the only difference

the Q8400 for the Q9400 is only 2mb cache memory the most.

which the configuration of the rest of your computer?

  • @velozes3 You won't notice a big difference if you don't do many cpu intensive tasks. Look at my other videos and you'll see my rig and the individual components.

  • Your system is the same as mine. Same Motherboard and Q9400. They are both great for gaming I have overclocked the Q9400 to 3.4GHz. You can see my rig on YouTube as well. I will be upgrading to a I7 build in a few days. Great video.

  • Thank you :) I also think that it's a good system. Good luck with your new build!

  • Whell, from what I read on HP's site, you probably could replace the shit cpu it has as standard (Pentium Dual Core E2160 / 1.8 GHz ) but i can't understand why you would want to do it. The rest of the config is to weak for the quad anyway. Before you decide you should check with the vendor from wher you want to buy the cpu, just to be sure.

  • I didn't see any thermal compound in there...am I right?

  • If you look on the bottom of the heatsink you can see 3 black bars. That's the thermal compound. I've allready installed the cpu, as you can see on my other videos, and it works great. With the stock cooler the temps don't go over 21c idle and 30c under load.

  • Oh ok, so it doesn't even need to be bought. Thank you I'll suscribe. (C:

  • would this cpu fitt in a HP a6403w and it it good ???

  • To Steevn606 Just by luck my wife has the same computer as you i looked into upgrading her CPU. The one that came with the a6403w is the Pentium Duel Core E2160 the Foxconn motherboard that is in this computer will not support a QuadCore only will support up to Core 2 Du 8500. I put the 7500 @2.9GHz and it runs fine also the computer will support up to 4 GB of ddr2 Duel Channel @800MHz I hope this has helped you.

  • its on the heat sink
