Made famous 15 years later by June Christy on her classic Capitol album "Gone for the Day." Martha had a great following and made many a hit record. She was a happy soul and beautiful artist.
What a great song and what a great singer. I can't get this song out of my head. GREAT. I also love Martha Tilton singing "Home in the Clouds" with Benny Goodman from 1939. It is available on a 10 CD set.
Co-written by my namesake back in the 1920s. I've been trying for a long while to actually hear this song - I wasn't disappointed, it's quite delightful! I thought I had a fairly good knowledge of popular music but have to admit I'd never heard of Martha Tilton before today. I'm going to enjoy the other songs. Thanks, from Frank Kilduff (London)

Can anyone tell me who the man is she sings with here? Both have such good voices. I just love music from this era!

Martha Tilton's singing beau is Gene Grounds. I've searched high and low for more information about him, but I've only come up with a name.

Martha Tilton was heartbreakingly brilliant. Could anyone listen to her Benny Goodman 'I Used to be Color Blind' without shedding a tear?
