x factor auditions birmingham 2008

Hey :)

me and a couple of friends are auditioning as soloists this year am so nervous!

how long do u have to wait? and just wondering how did u get there or do u live in birmingham? and how many audiitons do u have to get through before u perform in front of the judges?? i am just thinking of dropping out before auditioning in fornt of the judges because im 17 and wanna wait till im older to aim to get all the way.

but wanna know if i would get through to build up my confidence in singing etc tb

I've met someone who was a member of a security team at X-Factor before. He said the people who are auditioning see directors of the show in 4 different rooms, I think it was.

The directors then choose the weird ones, the really good ones, and a few with the emotional back stories.

They also tell Simon to keep going, or to stop with his insults, apparently.

the really truly awful or totally ridiculous people get through cause it makes good TV, and then they have to put through good people as thats what the shows all about its just the average okay people who dont go through.

hope ya give it a shot next year.on the whole i'd say it is a great experience and well worth the standing around and boredom parts;-)1st round ya sing 30 seconds to a producer/researcher,this gets rid of about 80% of auditionees,next day the select view sing again to producers and get interviewed for xtra factor and give sob stories etc. then 3rd round ya gotta get through the exec producers before finally at stage 4 ya get 2 c cowell and co;-)gud luck if ya try out.c ya therex

I got through all the way to the panel, only to have my voice changed and ended up sounding like a strangled cat on tv. it was fun, and getting to the panel is not easy.. four auditions

This is tv, the directors know who they want

I saw superb singers being hacked.

This is not for the faint hearted, it tireing and pretty scary, they tell you what to do and say.

You even have to wear the same clothes for all the auditions. complete fix

Thanks for comment.. yes l like acting and guess l did quite a bit of that just to get through,would like to go back and change my act, maybe next time they will respect my voice. At least l made it to the tv, and onto you tube.. so all in all its been a pretty good experience, and l get recognised in the street lol.. just feel sorry for "so precious" as they really did sing pretty well, and for them the bad publicity could be devestating

my m8 whent on x factor 2008(birmingham. he got through the auditions u dont c on T.V then when he proformed infront of the judges his backup-singers got nervous and they didnt go through=( still i like the program=)

yeah actually ya have to get through 3 qualifying stages even before ya meet the big judges.none of this is shown on tv.the reason crap get put through is cos its entertaining and funny.a lot of the real talent don't even get past 1st round.;-(

Exactly..it really annoys me that all viewers see is the action from June/July, they don't see the bit where everyone's sat freezing their arses off at Old Trafford [in my case lol] and then auditioned outside in front of the moodiest gits possible.

we got there at 3am and there were 200 in front of us - my mate and I got though this round and the round the next day - just waiting to hear from them now as to whether either of us get to meet SC.
