How I justify its shortness. Really, you don't fight the final boss at all, not even in the summarized epilogue. Balasar is still out there. I think, because of size limitations, the full LostWinds game is being released over time in episodes. How many hours does it take you to complete a $50 game of this style? Then go and divide that by 5 to get the $10 price and see how many hours it takes to complete one fifth increments.

Well I don't think that it was a bad thing you don't fight the final boss because I think frontier is trying to make a trilogy or something out of this game series and they will save balsir( or how ever you spell his name) for one of the later games. I say that because there is a rumor for lost winds 2.

most people say can beat this under an hour, unless your planning on playing through it multiple times i think id rather have a game like dr. mario or defend your castle where there's no "beating the game"

defend your castle get REALLY boring after a while...one you've seen level 50, where there are no more different enemies, you've seen them all...

it's not boring when you're playing it, mainly because you're looking at the graphics and backrounds :P, plus the puzzle elements can be VERY tricky sometime. that damn mine took forever. And no, the controls are great. There's essentially no time's where you miss something and blame the controls (unless you're a sore loser). It looks very choppy in vids and such, but u have to play it to feel it.
