I love the drama in this one...it seems like they're shouting.. but wouldn't it be the best thing to do when you are celebrating a coronation of King? It's the King!
This is not fast at all... this is actually a very good tempo because if it is being played to slow then the aaaammmeeenn's and all that good stuff wouldnt be as pertinent and enjoyable..
The tempo was exciting in the first two sections, but the basses, (and the rest of the choir for that matter) clearly couldn't handle going that fast, it sounded frantic, the 16th notes sounded idiotic. Sorry. It was a nice attempt, but not particularly music. Maybe if the choir learned how to engage a little better they could handle singing it that fast. Even if it was SUPPOSED to be that fast, this choir couldn't quite handle it.
whats interesting travis is that it may not be the right choice for a traditional classic interpretation but is serving as a good guideline for my work as an experimental classicist adapting the piece
Wow, a modern rock version, I could imagine that would be amzing. Bravo man. Ive always wanted to turn Mozart's Queen of the Night Aria into a rock piece.
I'm well aware they are indeed Spanish, not only because of the obvious references of the poster, but, since I'm Mexican, I get to recognize their accent from miles (Spanish tend to have a very strong accent, whatever language they're speaking).
And about the speed, just imagine a King walking towards a coronation, to an anthem played/sung at such a fast tempo... to say the least, the king would trip.
this performance is a trip! i've never heard it so fast before! talk about breakneck speed....

They need to sort out the accent they use. They sing 'thee' rather than 'the'.

This song is sung during the anointment.. Not the whole ceremony...
But indeed, it is a bit too fast.

troppo veloce, sembra che avessero fretta di incoronare il rè e poi scappare

Buenos videos; noté que te escriben personas en distintos idiomas, eso es porque la musica es un lenguaje universal.

this choir has some serious tuning and shouting issues....

Not to mention that they're in some kind of a race with the orchestra. Totally butchered it.

very good choir, the trumpets are good, too.
but the stings are terrible. from beginning to end, unbearable! there are simply too many false notes.
the tempo is nice, though, despite what everyone here says. ^^

Yes it is too fast. I think as a coronation March its better played slow, its supposed to be majestic! This is rushed

Maybe a bit fast. But I think this sounds much better if played too fast than if played too slow...
