i sware i cant even watch a Russian weapon on youtube without all you dipshit talking shit on american weapons and tanks and what not. have your weapons been fully battle tested? no. i agree that the RPG-29 and RPG-32 are great anti-tank weapons, but the Javelin is better because it attacks the weakest part of the tanks armor. and as of for the Abrams it did a great job during Desert Storm and Iraq War. sure some were disabled do to the RPG 29 but thats why we've upgraded it with the TUSK system
I think everyone agrees that Javelin is a far superior system, but with a TREMENDOUS cost. A single Javelin missile costs 80000USD, that's prohibitive for most armies. And let's not forget about the maintenance, training etc...
On the other side the RPG-32 is cheap, and easy to fire. The maintenance required for optimal operation is minimal, and a RPG cost is low, very low.
@fumega well last time i check it was not battlefield tested.. and yes it is a cheaper easier weapon to maintain. and i respect that 100% about russian weapons. but an 80,000 dollar rocket from a Javeline against a 2.5 million dollar tank. or any other armored vehicles out there. and its wide variety to select targets and the fact you can fire it from within a building and get away is a major advantage in Urban warfare.
@TheAlexagius but it is so useless at range and like it misses most of the time so i never use it in games like try to take out something that is just staying still you wont hit it half the time since the grenade will pull it ether up or down to early and if you ever play far cry two if you are too close it wont even blow up or sometimes in that game it will just fall out and you have to run i mean have to or you die not many games do that but its still just out dated to me

@MrTurkishAzeriNY ... new active protective systems like IRON FIST from Israel engage the incoming round before impact, this is what you will see used in presidential convoys rather than 5 feet of armour.
There are no counter measure for the RPG's or shoulder launch weapons..If you think that the Trophy or anything else like it to protect the tank you are dreaming. This is my opinion "they say it is a secret but all it is a multi-barrel with row of electronic bullets in them that is link to a so call radar".
Cartridges caliber 72 and 105 mm are two types of shots: Tandem HEAT and fuel fragmentation armor. The choice of ammunition can destroy all existing types of goals: the modern and future tanks, armored vehicles, fortifications, infantry, etc.

@MatoVuc For the RPG-32 splinter developed and high-explosive shells, as well as innovative for the Russian anti-tank grenade projectile with homing elements, capable of engaging enemy armor, even with poor-quality sighting, which greatly facilitate the use of rocket-propelled grenade slabopodgotovlennym staff.

32 is still a better system than the 29 in my opinion, simply because the 29 is too difficult to use for basic infantry
I suspect that the 29 would do it's best work mounted on tanketes and APC
Are you kidding? There has been a confirmed kill by the RPG-29 of the British Challenger 2 tank in one shot. It penetrated the frontal ERA and hull (where the armor is the most substantial). And it has also taken out an M1A1 tank. When the Israelis went into Lebanon in '06 many Merkavas and other armored vehicles were disabled by the RPG-29. But this is the RPG-32, which is still very new, so relatively untested. But I am confident it can take out most, if not all, modern tanks.
m1a1 isnt the specially armored tank im talking about. Regardless anyone who fired that RPG would likely eaither A hit it and do small damage then get blown to small chunk of flesh and bone or B hit do damage but not enough damage to stop the tank from working or C get taking out by a helicopter :D
Lol I think you are a bit naive and overly optimistic when it comes to modern warfare. Tanks are not as invincible as they once were. All military analyst acknowledge this. Because its much cheaper and more effective to produce a man handled anti-tank weapon than to invest into an impervious tank; which is impossible in modern times anyway. And I don't know what 'specially armored' tank you are talking about. The Challenger 2 tank is made out of the most modern materials, or Chobbham armor which
is classified. And if the RPG-29 (produced since the 1980s) can penetrate the frontal armor of this along with it's ERA, it can take out most, if not all, types of M1 tanks available to the US army. The M1A1 also uses the classified Chobbham armor and it has DU armor as well, which the RPG-29 defeated. You think it's hard for a insurgent to disable a tank? You should sign up for the US army and get posted to Afghanistan.
@lendmeurears Gentlemen, this is unacceptable I have a proof from news paper that no one M1A2 is destroyed by enemy fire ever, this is a lie, this is sabotage ,this video is a scum,VICTORY,VICTORY is near by.
@RichardGold8 Tanks are still useful though. They are still a heck of a fighting machine. In a conventional battle they are still indispensable when used alongside the air-force. If you can gain air superiority, tanks are basically going to dominate the battlefield. In urban fighting it's also useful as a psychological weapon and bullet magnet; of course they are still vulnerable. But not as vulnerable as an APC and troops. But yeah, in the right circumstance, they can be ineffective and costly
Tanks are not exactly stationary bus wreckage, they move, (good luck hitting a moving tank with that thing at reasonable range) and they have armor, It's not 1shot=1kill
I've not been into the army yet, pardon me, but I believe that with such impact, even if the tank still survies barely, the poeple in there would have their heads knocked so hard that they would faint or even the sound making them deaf. Anyone would black out. Rather than taking a return blow.
that's where training comes in... plus for all the mobility and superior armor, the isrealis lost a lot of their most advanced merkava IVs in gaza to ATMs and systems like this...
correct aim and positioning coupled with good training helps you adjust for the distance and time the rocket needs fly to hit the target so you fire it infront of the tank so that it hits it after said time interval... training makes or breaks a soldier
it's not useless, the trophy system launches metal shrapnel in 360 degrees all around the tank which could also be a hazard to soldiers around it, but also, you cant reload the trophy system so it's a one time thing, all you have to do it launch 2 or 3 rpgs, the first to trigger the trophy system and the second to destroy the tank
no no what meant was, once the projectiles are launched to stop an RPG attack, trophy becomes useless because they will not be able to reload projectiles mid battle so after trophy is used in battle, the tank can be taken out by a second RPG
the reload is automatic (not manual) and it takes only 1-3 seconds to reload
pleae watch the latest vid on trophy:-
watch?v=n-Ri-kce6pA
im still waiting for it to be proved in real battle, suppsodly it was used succefully in gaza 2009 but i think in the next war we will see how effective it is, but so far it seems very effective
@lendmeurears the challenger hadn't the maximum armor that is it capable of carry, cuz they did't knew insurgents had the rpg-29. they can put extra armor on but yea it penetrated, but did'nt kill the crew but disabled the tank
@y512516 Errr, RPGs don't work like that. Either the jet goes all the way through or it doesn't. They won't go "ping" and bounce off unless the fuse is faulty.
@lendmeurears dude that was not a kill, the driver lost 3 toes after rpg29 penetrated it in al-amarah in 2006, not a kill, the tank is still in service, it just needed repairs to a small section of the frontal hull
@rammen4 "In the August attack, which occurred during an operation to arrest a leading insurgent in the town of al-Amarah, in southern Iraq, the Challenger was damaged when a Russian-made rocket-propelled grenade, known as an RPG-29, defeated the ERA and penetrated the driver's cabin." - The Daily Telegraph (Source: The Daily Telegraph "MoD kept failure of best tank quiet") [I can't post the link, so search the title up]
@lendmeurears Well, i never knew that! Will make for interesting reading. I just assumed as the Challenger is heavier than the Abrams, it couldn't be used in places such as the middle east :3
@LOLben1 That doesn't change the fact that fundamentally its still a tank. No country has the capability to produce a tank that is 100% capable of resisting many of the modern anti-armor weaponry. In fact, it would be folly and impossible to do so. Rrom an economic perspective, it is cheaper to produce a portable anti-amour projectile for a few million versus the cost of spending of tens of millions to improve a tank's, whose military value is increasingly diminishing, armor.
@lendmeurears thats funny cause only 1 challenger 2 has been destroyed in combat and that was a blue on blue with another challenger 2 the worst thats happened so far is a driver lost his leg when a IED exploded underneath because the bottom armor was penetrated but that tank was repaired and put back into service the incident you are talking about was when another driver lost 3 of his toes when a rpg 29 penetrated the underside front armor how the hell is that a confirmed kill?
@Ramzzy We could argue over semantics all day, but what I meant by confirmed kill was whether or not the tank was disabled. If you thought that a confirmed kill meant that the tank was blown into smithereens and all its crew killed, or something along those lines, then that's a problem of interpretation. My initial comment was in response to an oblivious individual who thought it was impossible to defeat an Abrams tank. I gave the Challenger 2 example (better protected) to illustrate it was not.
@TSMK900 The Arjun tank is a relatively new tank that is untested in battle. The Indian army paints it as the modern equivalent of many Western tanks. Combining the best of both worlds, Russian and Western technology, But the truth is, the tank is a partial failure. It took decades to develop the tank and the cost spiraled out of control. And the quantities being produced by the Indian military contractors are abysmally small. Its not a worthy tank. And no, the armor is significantly poorer.
@TSMK900 I did not work on the Arjun project. You need to be part of the team who did to know exactly what armour the arjun has. I know it is significantly poorer because the Indians do not have a strong track record in producing indigenous tanks. Yes the Arjun is a triumph for the Indians, but its no where close to the sophistication of the Challenger 2 tank. That's not saying that the Arjun is bad, just that its unrealistic to think its on par with a Challenger 2 tank and its pedigree.
@lendmeurears Time will tell.Although Indians are clever though but from ACTUAL ACTION DATA, i would say the Challenger 2 is the king coz it never got destroyed by another tank besides friendly fire from nother Challenger 2 tank and it's doctrine is all about survivability while all of the other tanks sacrifice such things.
Heck, you can even make tea inside of it, how epic can you get!
is the Arjun tank doctrine about survivability too?
better use this to the israeli settler next door because i heard these scums mutha fucka are trying to steal jordanian's land of course this is for the sake of greater israHELL....

I suspect that the 29 would do it's best work mounted on tanketes and APC

WRONG.... This can Smash a m1a1 tank in 2 SHOTS...
ASUSM2VMXSE 2 years ago
...... you do know that this will never be able todo any damage to a M1a1 ,a2 or the specially armored brams right?
sartte 2 years ago
Are you kidding? There has been a confirmed kill by the RPG-29 of the British Challenger 2 tank in one shot. It penetrated the frontal ERA and hull (where the armor is the most substantial). And it has also taken out an M1A1 tank. When the Israelis went into Lebanon in '06 many Merkavas and other armored vehicles were disabled by the RPG-29. But this is the RPG-32, which is still very new, so relatively untested. But I am confident it can take out most, if not all, modern tanks.
lendmeurears 2 years ago 58
m1a1 isnt the specially armored tank im talking about. Regardless anyone who fired that RPG would likely eaither A hit it and do small damage then get blown to small chunk of flesh and bone or B hit do damage but not enough damage to stop the tank from working or C get taking out by a helicopter :D
sartte 2 years ago
Lol I think you are a bit naive and overly optimistic when it comes to modern warfare. Tanks are not as invincible as they once were. All military analyst acknowledge this. Because its much cheaper and more effective to produce a man handled anti-tank weapon than to invest into an impervious tank; which is impossible in modern times anyway. And I don't know what 'specially armored' tank you are talking about. The Challenger 2 tank is made out of the most modern materials, or Chobbham armor which
lendmeurears 2 years ago 3
is classified.

Thats pretty sad, wasting money on tanks when u can take it out with something cheaper. lol...nice one.
RichardGold8 2 years ago
@RichardGold8 Tanks are still useful though. They are still a heck of a fighting machine. In a conventional battle they are still indispensable when used alongside the air-force. If you can gain air superiority, tanks are basically going to dominate the battlefield. In urban fighting it's also useful as a psychological weapon and bullet magnet; of course they are still vulnerable. But not as vulnerable as an APC and troops. But yeah, in the right circumstance, they can be ineffective and costly
lendmeurears 2 years ago
@RichardGold8
Tanks are not exactly stationary bus wreckage, they move, (good luck hitting a moving tank with that thing at reasonable range) and they have armor, It's not 1shot=1kill
sEweron 1 year ago
I've not been into the army yet, pardon me, but I believe that with such impact, even if the tank still survies barely, the poeple in there would have their heads knocked so hard that they would faint or even the sound making them deaf. Anyone would black out. Rather than taking a return blow.
RichardGold8 1 year ago
that's where training comes in... plus for all the mobility and superior armor, the isrealis lost a lot of their most advanced merkava IVs in gaza to ATMs and systems like this...
correct aim and positioning coupled with good training helps you adjust for the distance and time the rocket needs fly to hit the target so you fire it infront of the tank so that it hits it after said time interval... training makes or breaks a soldier
MatoVuc 1 year ago
there was never any mekavah 4 lost in gaza it was only an old magach
and then again there is rafael trophy which would make all anti tank weapons usless
shalomyo 1 year ago
@shalomyo
it's not useless, the trophy system launches metal shrapnel in 360 degrees all around the tank which could also be a hazard to soldiers around it, but also, you cant reload the trophy system so it's a one time thing, all you have to do it launch 2 or 3 rpgs, the first to trigger the trophy system and the second to destroy the tank
blobguy1212 1 year ago
the trophy has a few launchers placed all around the tank if u watch one of the vids u can see how trophy destroys 2 warheads simultaniously
plus it also first tries to use electronic countermeasures before launching
according to rafael te hazard to soldeirs is low but even if this aint true tanks are not always surounded by soldeirs
shalomyo 1 year ago
@shalomyo
no no what meant was, once the projectiles are launched to stop an RPG attack, trophy becomes useless because they will not be able to reload projectiles mid battle so after trophy is used in battle, the tank can be taken out by a second RPG
blobguy1212 1 year ago
the reload is automatic (not manual) and it takes only 1-3 seconds to reload
pleae watch the latest vid on trophy:-
watch?v=n-Ri-kce6pA
im still waiting for it to be proved in real battle, suppsodly it was used succefully in gaza 2009 but i think in the next war we will see how effective it is, but so far it seems very effective
shalomyo 1 year ago
@shalomyo the reload is in slow mo it taked trophy 0.003 seconds to reload

@lendmeurears the challenger hadn't the maximum armor that is it capable of carry, cuz they did't knew insurgents had the rpg-29. they can put extra armor on but yea it penetrated, but did'nt kill the crew but disabled the tank
djadodh 1 year ago
@lendmeurears I thought only damaged, not destroyed.

@lendmeurears
It requires at least three shots to take out a Challenger
If you've read the book Sniper One .which is like a solider's war diary
It stated that RPG most likely would just going Ping and bounce off the surface
y512516 1 year ago
@y512516 Errr, RPGs don't work like that. Either the jet goes all the way through or it doesn't. They won't go "ping" and bounce off unless the fuse is faulty.

moussleouf 1 year ago
@lendmeurears dude that was not a kill, the driver lost 3 toes after rpg29 penetrated it in al-amarah in 2006, not a kill, the tank is still in service, it just needed repairs to a small section of the frontal hull
KiwiTomCrawford 1 year ago
@lendmeurears How would it of taken out a challenger 2 tank in one shot when the challenger hasn't ever been deployed in the Middle east?
rammen4 11 months ago
@rammen4 "In the August attack, which occurred during an operation to arrest a leading insurgent in the town of al-Amarah, in southern Iraq, the Challenger was damaged when a Russian-made rocket-propelled grenade, known as an RPG-29, defeated the ERA and penetrated the driver's cabin." - The Daily Telegraph (Source: The Daily Telegraph "MoD kept failure of best tank quiet") [I can't post the link, so search the title up]
lendmeurears 11 months ago
@lendmeurears Well, i never knew that! Will make for interesting reading. I just assumed as the Challenger is heavier than the Abrams, it couldn't be used in places such as the middle east :3
rammen4 11 months ago
@lendmeurears the challenger 2's armour has been ugraded since sooo i dunno
LOLben1 10 months ago
@LOLben1 That doesn't change the fact that fundamentally its still a tank. No country has the capability to produce a tank that is 100% capable of resisting many of the modern anti-armor weaponry. In fact, it would be folly and impossible to do so. Rrom an economic perspective, it is cheaper to produce a portable anti-amour projectile for a few million versus the cost of spending of tens of millions to improve a tank's, whose military value is increasingly diminishing, armor.
lendmeurears 10 months ago
@LOLben1 Do you know that RPG 29 has also improved the destructive effect? I dunno!
hck112 8 months ago
@lendmeurears thats funny cause only 1 challenger 2 has been destroyed in combat and that was a blue on blue with another challenger 2 the worst thats happened so far is a driver lost his leg when a IED exploded underneath because the bottom armor was penetrated but that tank was repaired and put back into service the incident you are talking about was when another driver lost 3 of his toes when a rpg 29 penetrated the underside front armor how the hell is that a confirmed kill?
Ramzzy666 10 months ago
@Ramzzy We could argue over semantics all day, but what I meant by confirmed kill was whether or not the tank was disabled. If you thought that a confirmed kill meant that the tank was blown into smithereens and all its crew killed, or something along those lines, then that's a problem of interpretation. My initial comment was in response to an oblivious individual who thought it was impossible to defeat an Abrams tank. I gave the Challenger 2 example (better protected) to illustrate it was not.
lendmeurears 10 months ago
@lendmeurears Does the Challenger 2 tank have the best hull armor protection? Is the armor of the indian Arjun tank have better armor?
TSMK900 9 months ago
@TSMK900 The Arjun tank is a relatively new tank that is untested in battle. The Indian army paints it as the modern equivalent of many Western tanks. Combining the best of both worlds, Russian and Western technology, But the truth is, the tank is a partial failure. It took decades to develop the tank and the cost spiraled out of control. And the quantities being produced by the Indian military contractors are abysmally small. Its not a worthy tank. And no, the armor is significantly poorer.
lendmeurears 9 months ago
@lendmeurears Yo dude the British soldier did not die, he just wounded.
Merkava tank crews tasted dozens of RPG 29 shot, and most of them killed. Imagine RPG 32 in the hand of terrorists like Taliban and al-Qaeda...
hck112 8 months ago
@lendmeurears But the arjun was said to have withstood a point blank shot from a MB 72 russian tank...surely that it impressive right?
So they produce them in small supplies, how do you know thier armor is "significantly poorer"?
TSMK900 8 months ago
@TSMK900 I did not work on the Arjun project. You need to be part of the team who did to know exactly what armour the arjun has. I know it is significantly poorer because the Indians do not have a strong track record in producing indigenous tanks. Yes the Arjun is a triumph for the Indians, but its no where close to the sophistication of the Challenger 2 tank. That's not saying that the Arjun is bad, just that its unrealistic to think its on par with a Challenger 2 tank and its pedigree.
lendmeurears 8 months ago
@lendmeurears Time will tell.Although Indians are clever though but from ACTUAL ACTION DATA, i would say the Challenger 2 is the king coz it never got destroyed by another tank besides friendly fire from nother Challenger 2 tank and it's doctrine is all about survivability while all of the other tanks sacrifice such things.
Heck, you can even make tea inside of it, how epic can you get!
is the Arjun tank doctrine about survivability too?
TSMK900 7 months ago
@lendmeurears
That wasn't a confirmed kill. it wasn't even a confirmed disabling. It was a confirmed damaging.
Hell, most rocket attacks just fail completely and the 29 just barely managed to do damage.
