Many people view marriage as a religious issue. What is wrong with that? I hold marriage to be a sacred institution between a man and a woman. How many times do Californians' have to vote on this issue? Two times they have said NO to same-sex marriage. i was told that 60%+ of 18-29 year olds voted against prop 8. another example of how UNEDUCATED that age group really is, and how gullible they actually are. shows that 'the youth of today' by into 30 second commercial blurbs, don't study history and what happens when moral decay erodes the foundations of what the majority beleive in - and it is their OWN death warrant they are signing. this is not about bigotry or descrimination - this is about a legal definition of a term.

Many people view marriage as a religious issue. What is wrong with that? I hold marriage to be a sacred institution between a man and a woman. How many times do Californians' have to vote on this issue? Two times they have said NO to same-sex marriage. Since the gay and lesbian movement doesn't like that answer they will use the courts to try and FORCE their will on voters.

I've visited other Christian churches: Protestant, Lutheran, Presbyterian.
All with different beliefs on certain topics.
So how can you prove that one is more right than the other?

God created us and does NOT want women marrying other women (guy and guy..same thing)....just read da bible (Romans [new testament, kind of at the end] ok?)if u think its discrimination, its not its what God told us not to do ok?....dont go talking bad stuff about our religion.....

Just because your religion says being gay is a sin, doesn't mean it's a sin for other people.
Jews believe that eating pork is a sin, would it be right for them to outlaw it for (non-Jews)?
Honestly, Christians, of all people, should be the ones turning the cheek saying "It's a sin, but it isn't killing anyone."
As for religious freedom, some Buddhist churches allow gay marriage, so by enacting Prop 8, you're denying their right to religious practice!

well hun the bible never lies and it is a sin if a guy marries a guy, but it never said in the bible that eating pork is a sin ok? a sin is a sin it applies to all people..and everyone sins including me of course, but i repent ok?...do u understand?...if u vote no then read the bible (Romans chapter 1 verse 27) there is no exeptions in what God says since he's the one who created us...got it?...

The Bible was written by HUMANS, unless God HIMSELF writes it, you have no sourced evidence of truth or lies.
Hindus believe alcohol and beef consumption is a SIN.

dude u dont know anything...they r not just humans that wrote it their Jesus' disciples...God told them what to write...and they wrote down Jesus' teachings u dont know much about da bible do ya?...and of course I always put God b4 anyone ok?....its not a sin if its not in the bible its just what they believe in...u obviously doesnt read the bible

Beef consumption in the Hindu religion is considered IMMORAL and it is sourced in their ancient book "written" by their gods, known as the Rig Veda. Read it.
In the Buddhist religion, gay marriage is considered sacred and not a sin.

"A million" is pretty drastic, even for a fundamental christian such as yourself.
If you read the Bible, there is a greater focus on a vast number of "sins" other than homosexuality.
And being a Christian, the teachings during Jesus's early life through the Pascal Mystery are the areas to be focused on, moreso than the Acts of the Apostles.

The scriptures say 3, but technically 2, because he died on Black Friday, spent Holy Saturday in a catacomb, and on Easter Sunday (which is technically 2 days away.) After which, he rose and scared away the Roman guards and was seen walking around town (two women passed by Peter, who was cloaked) and the rest of the Apostles were in hiding. Thomas blatantly denied Jesus's rising until he was shown the stigmata with his own eyes (after the Holy Spirit bestowed the 7 gifts on them in fire.)
