I love this song. I have the "Loveline" album shown here on vinyl. Eddie Rabbitt still is one of my favorite singers of all time. Thanks for the post.

I remember coming home from shopping the day i heard he'd passed away i went numb and almost crashed, miss him so much a true artist inside and out....
I really started loving Eddie's music in late 80s in high school and still love it now. Really wish I had had the opportunity to see him perform live. Miss his genius and smooth voice. We miss you Eddie...
Always had a liking for Eddie Rabbitt. We had a 45 of "I Love a Rainy Night" that I listened to over and and over as a kid. I also was pleasantly surprised to find that I remembered this song when I "re-discovered" it about a year ago. I miss music like this.
This IS country music, not the convoluted crap of today(with obvious notable exceptions) that has forced me out of listening to airwave radio and into old cds. Thanks for posting this, and above all else thanks to Eddie for gracing us with many great songs over the years. RIP
@judgedavefilms So true!!! Sadly, they've ruined every genre of music. All we have are great memories like this one! Country music has been taken over by a bunch of no talents.
Brilliant song. hard to believe it is a 30 year-old song. We lost a great talent a few years ago. We miss ya Eddie.

He's one of those artists that could have performed well into his 60s if he had lived.

I remember when I was driving in my car and heard that Eddie had passed away. I was shocked. He was a good singer, and a fine man. Such a shame.

Great song. I saw him three times in concert. His voice was so amazing he could've sang the phone book and I would've loved it.

I saw him at Milwaukee's Summerfest in '80 or '81. I wish I had seen him perform more often. This will always be my favorite from his discography.

@judgedavefilms this was back when it was about having talent, not about having nice cheekbones and looking good in a cowboy hat.

@judgedavefilms The irony is that this song was much maligned the same way we malign what's on today's country charts.
