One of the funniest moments on my senior trip was when some drunk guys started flipping out because there was a giant spider on the ceiling. Fortunately, one of my friends was Australian, and he caught in a jar, saving the day for everyone. I don't know what it is with Australians, but they tend to have a general lack of fear when it comes to freaky/dangerous creatures.
I heard a radio interview with Jim, talking about this. I had to see it. Poor Jim O'Brien, I love Fox59 Morning crew. I agree Ray Cortopassi went over the line. I knew there was a reason I was never found of him.
All of you people talking about how rude that was of Ray Cortopassi to do that to his coworkers must lead a pretty dull and boring life. I think he was just having fun like they ALL usually do in the morning and wasn't really going to put the spider on them. WOW...get a clue.
People are saying they're overreacting, and they might be at a couple points, but for the most part they aren't. Some people simply have a deep rooted FEAR of spiders, usually from something from their childhood. I'm one of them.
The fact that Ray was specifically and purposely going out of his way to freak out his coworkers as rude and unprofessional in my opinion.
Wow. You've got to be a special kind of jerk to go out of your way and do something like this, especially on the air. That kind of passive-aggressive disregard for your coworkers not only showed them who he is, it showed the viewers.
Not funny at all.... snakes and spiders are just things people have phobias over and it is not cool for someone to be so cruel to the people and the creature who could be killed because of such cruel actions.
Isn't that a Mexican red knee? Their fangs are too weak to bite, they are harmless to humans. He also had a little corn snake, also harmless. People need to get out into nature more.
@eddycurrents that's not the point; when you have a PHOBIA, it's not a fear because something is venomous/poisonous or can harm you. it's an anxiety disorder...
