  • If you kids want to have a religious debate do it somewhere else. I believe that I have full editorial rights to my videos, and if you continue to use obscene language I will block you.

  • @SpeshuuAnunnaki Know you idiot, different language, you too stupid to talk to, There is only one God you dumb fool, show me evidence from the Quran where it says we worship two Gods, I'm the lier, your the one that can't back up evidence son. Listen you annuanaki freak, I'm gonna tell you don't talk shit here, how are you gonna tell me that we believe in more than one God when it states you can't be Muslim if you do you punk. Go fuck off somewhere else. I know people like you who talk bullshit.

  • Yea i still my copy for the n64 with this version glad i still have it

  • i have one of the first copies before they changed it its fucking creepy

  • @SpeshuuAnunnaki You stupid dickhead, I'm a muslim and lknow the history, enough with your lies, Arab pagans worshiped lat and Uzzah, crescent moon is not related to hubal, And there is evidence which states that Muhammad stayed away from idols, he never worshiped idols. Allah in Arabic mean The God, Hubal is not the same you retard, stop talking lies with your bullshit,

  • @17jun1989 yeah, the MOON god. one of the gods, god actually means gods, thats why its stupid for people to use the word "god" or whatever ala crap in your retarded running writing gibberish pedophilia language. people should use the name yahweh or something, its a actual name, not a word for something that there are more of.

  • @SpeshuuAnunnaki Dude you talk so much shit, Moon God lol one of the Gods, God means Gods, bro your talking about Christianity, Muslim believe in only One God, One,not two or three just One. Yahweh is Hebrew for God, Allah is Arabic for The God don't believe in your Christian Websites that hate, ask a person who knows the Arabic language and he will tell you that Allah mean The One God, Al = The. Illah = God. Moon God is Roman Mythology and is never mentioned in theMeccan period

  • @17jun1989 NO, if your telling me that ALLHA means GOD! than that means it is the same as GOD in christian. GOD ITS SELF MEANS GODS! or are you saying alah means 1 god? the name means 1 god? that would mean there are OTHER ELOHIM!!!!!!!111111111111111

  • @17jun1989 GODS! you mooslims lie

  • The chanting was the whole part of the orchestration. Otherwise it's not nearly as creepy...not that you could hear anything other than chanting with the super loud hiss of the fire and link's screaming anyways

  • define "vaguely" its obvious

  • If I was inside a volcano and heard chanting like this, I'd be on the other side of Hyrule in a flash! O.O

  • I didnt hear anything scary until 1:35 xD

  • Weird, I never heard this version, yet the one in the game sounds like it is missing something... Like I knew another.

  • i just bought a used ocarina of time 4 christmas ,and it has this version. ITS SO FUCKEN SCARY!

  • I honestly forgot about this chant completely.. :S

  • Koji Kondo is a goddamn genius

  • I definitely have this version on my cartridge. I remember it well. Thought the chanting sounded creepy, but assumed it was gibberish.

  • Why does it, when I hear this song it feels like im having a Stroke or some form of seizure. Just going with the music going up and down on the volume

  • I Have This Version In My PC :D! ♥

  • electron raaaay electron raaay yaaaaaa oohhhhhh electron ray yaaaahhh ohhh

that's what I always heard when listening to this song

  • My game had this too...

  • @BrandonAngelDragon I doubt that. My copy has this track running in the fire temple.

  • pretty cool

  • "This is the original fire temple music before Nintendo was forces to change it due to the Muslim Community's response." If that's so, how come my legend of zelda game has it?

  • I like to imagine that this is what Darunia and the other Gorons sound like they are singing.

  • i have a gold cart oringal edition this is in it .

  • I never heard the other version besides this? I take it I have an older version. Cause I was playing with this music in the Fire Temple

  • And this my friends is the reason 9/11 happened

  • my n64 version has this theme. but i also have the master quest gamecube disc, the zelda collection gamecube disc, and the 3ds version and the n64 is the only one i have w the original theme w the chanting. it sucks i always thought the chanting was kinda cool.

  • You can clearly hear "ALLAH" at 1:40

  • This was on my cartridge I bought back in 1998. I only just found out about the controversy and replaced theme now. You sure it was the muslims who were outraged and complained? I thought they would have been flattered it would be included in such a well known game. I figured the removal was because of the post 9/11 paranoia.

  • @FaithIsAnnoyed Apparently they changed the song in the later versions before the first version even came out.

Also, the game changed the song before 9/11 happened.

  • Guys, go watch episode 9 of Pop-Fiction on GameTrailers. The removal of the music was prior to the release of ALL versions OoT in any region. Public outcry from the islamic community could not have been the cause.

  • @BrandonAngelDragon I bought it the week it came out (and still have it), and it has the chanting. It was taken out after the initial release.

  • @KalCounty LoL, you obviously did not watch the video. Go watch it before replying.

  • @BrandonAngelDragon If that's so, how come mine has it?

  • @XfatnuglyX Most likely the original version of the game were already mass produced and shipped worldwide and simply awaiting for the release, and are stored in warehouses etc. That's when Nintendo realized the music was wrong and changed it immediately, and subsequent copies of the game did not have the chanting. Nintendo could have recalled all the unreleased original copies, but that would probably cost them a whole lot of money. So there you have it. Consider yourself lucky.

  • @BrandonAngelDragon Alright! I have an original version.

  • @BrandonAngelDragon they released copies of a cartridge with this music on it, then they made a different one, stopped selling the old one and marketed the new one. i'm not saying you're wrong about the outcry from the islamic commmunity not being the cause, i'm saying your facts of the release(s) of the game are wrong.

  • @BrandonAngelDragon I heard this very theme when I was young and it scared the shit out of me, remember it perfectly

  • @BrandonAngelDragon not really, remember that ganondorf has red blood in the first copies of OOT? the original fire temple music was there, I know because I have it, red blood and original fire temple music included

  • I'm personally glad it's gone.

  • this seems tibetan

  • I would of shit my pants if I heard this in the fire temple.

  • @spideykoonrulz Me too, my OOt never had the chanting in it. I only found out about this original version a few months ago. If i heard this as a kid it would have surpassed the shadow temple as the scariest.

  • @spideykoonrulz It was in the original released of the game.

  • @spideykoonrulz I know right?

    It's creepy as fuck.

  • @spideykoonrulz I did

  • @spideykoonrulz when i got to the fire temple i was hoping to god this wouldnt happen. It didnt :D

  • I would think the chanting in such an awesome level in the greatest video game of all time would be something to be proud of, not complain about

its not like theres silly cartoonish looking muslims in the game chanting it or anything, its hard to not take the Fire Temple seriously

  • Two things...

    1. Why was the Muslim community offended?

    2. WTF Nintendo?

  • The chanting is ' there is no god but Allah, most merciful , most gracious' Allah is the greatest "

  • Hey I'm Muslim I thought it was cool and that moon and star , who complained ? Why did Nintendo change it , where is an official statement from them grrr Nintendo

  • God damn muslims, in the Ocarina of time 3DS they even took the star and cresent moon off the blocks and mirror sheild, that really gave the game a cool feel, now it's just a silly weird logo thing, this shits me

  • @MrGonzarr presents: Why Humans Don't Deserve Freedom

  • WEEKEETEEHAIWIHOO WEEKEETEEHAIWIHOO WEEKEETEEHAIWIHOO WEEHAAAAOOOOO

  • Ahanga moray! Ahanga Moray! Ahanga Moray! Ahaahheeeeeuuuuuahh.

  • @MrGonzarr hahahahahhahaha. shut up. you really think being a racist bible thumper puts you above other people?

  • I own the "gold" version, so I never heard this. It's a little creepy, but at least it's not boring like the changed Fire Temple music.

  • Why would nintendo even put in that chant anyway? Definatly of whst it translates to...and use it for the fire temple???

  • thank you

  • That's creepy as shit.

  • can anyone translate the chanting?

  • @kurlyfries22 "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah."

  • @Jesushobo

    thank you

  • i remember this music. not creepy but it raised the tension for sure

  • This is fuckin' sick.

  • I don't it should matter at all what muslims ( or hindus or christians etc ) think of any entertainment. Religion should be kept in the private sphere and have no influence over any decision or aspect of anyone elses life.

Sadly, everyone is too afraid of muslim violence to ever do this.

  • @MrGonzarr You're the reason nobody likes the British anymore.

  • @MrGonzarr You're a disgusting waste of human life.

  • @MrGonzarr LOL seriously? Keep it coming bro you're really making a valid point there.

  • This is creepy. Not because of the chanting, just the entire atmosphere. Imagine this in the shadow temple.

  • @gentlespidermen I was thinking the same thing. lol

  • Wow first time hearing this just now, and I have finished the 64 version as soon as it came out and beat it many times since then....

  • So Nintendo has Islamic chanting in the Fire Temple, and an Islamic symbol on the Mirror Shield...

    Coincedence?

  • @TheBadBuffalo Yes, but all versions of the game after the controversy involving the symbols and the chanting no longer have this in the game. The symbols have all changed to the Gerudo symbol. Personally, I liked the Crescent Moon and Star symbol.

  • @TheBadBuffalo Both were inspired by the culture.

  • I had one of the original cartridges for this game... this does make the Fire Temple more creepy... but the Shadow Temple still freaks me out more, honestly. The shadows and the music setting just give it the right feel that anything might jump out at you from the next corner, or a giant hand will drop down on your face from above. (Oh yes, you all know what I'm talking about with the damned dead hands or whatever they're called. :P )

  • @ThunderStorm8 Wallmasters. Im offended that you don't know that mate <:S

  • @shyguylink64 I knew the name, I just forgot about it. It's been a little while since I had played a Zelda game with that enemy in it. "Skyward Sword" doesn't even have a newer enemy based on the Wallmasters. :P Lot of enemies to remember, so it's easy to forget at times. I'm not Navi, Tatl, or Fi, afterall. :P

  • My theory is that Koji Kondo was adding this for effect. I personally enjoy this version over the edited one.

  • Not gonna lie, this theme is freaking scary.

  • Oh, I always thought it was the Gorons chanting inside their cells, begging to be freed.

Leave it to our hypersensitive and pandering society to censor something cool just because someone felt the need to bitch about it...

  • @MrFloppyFish Islamic groups were the ones that complained about it to Nintendo. It wasn't because of the general society not wanting them in the game.

  • @ThunderStorm8 No, I mean they (in this case, Nintendo, which, like everything else, has society's guidelines in it) pandered to someone who complained. You ever heard of anyone changing something because a CHRISTIAN, or JEWISH person, or any other religion except MUSLIM complained? (I digress)

  • @MrFloppyFish Actually, I have. It happens all the time in Pop Culture, with various religions, and other cultural communities. I only recently learned of *why* they changed the symbols in the newer versions of "Ocarina". You don't hear much about it because it's not always blatantly known out in the open. It's minor information. Changing one tiny aspect of a game doesn't mean it's going to ruin it's image.

  • @MrFloppyFish Well that's a lot of rubbish, isn't it? So many Japanese games have pulled Christian iconography when releasing them to the US. (Castlevania?). This week Lowe's pulled advertising from a show about Muslims because Christian groups complained. Also since Jewish groups have a particularly strong presence, people take great measures to make sure not to offend them. In 2009, British Airline BMI apologized for not including Israel on maps because of technical errors after a complaint.

  • @MrFloppyFish Bottom line, we're all the same. Sure intensely religious people get offended way easily, but sweeping generalizations aren't true. It's stuff like this that videogames are perfect for. Forgetting your problems and the problems of the world. Just relax and take a dip into the world of Hyrule or Zebes or something and just chill. Nothing can be gained by hate mongering. Just remember when there's a zombie/robot/alien apocalypse, we're all fucked unless we stick together.

  • @trunxkam45 Don't misunderstand my point, I'm not attacking the Muslim community as a whole. I was just stating that Muslims are generally a lot more pandered to in terms of adjustment of entertainment (South Park's episodes 200 and 201 being PERFECT examples of that.) Oh, and if an alien race makes it to Earth to attack, it means they've invented faster than light travel, and therefore we don't stand a chance in hell :).

  • @MrFloppyFish You know I actually agree with that. Like I said, when ONE person made a stink about LBP, the team pulled the music. Why? That's just insulting. I mean before episodes 200 and 201 South Park already had an episode where they showed Prophet Muhammad, so what's the big deal? So what if a group of idiots issued a death threat? Obama gets 30 death threats EVERYDAY. And what about the Scientology episode? They pandered to CELEBRITIES, the last people we should worry about offending.

  • @MrFloppyFish @MrFloppyFish I don't like being called a terrorist by people who don't understand their own religion, but being treated like a child is even more insulting; it means I lack rational behavior. I like it when people can look past my religion and respect me for who I am. Some people have a lot of strange beliefs about minorities. I like to feel as if being a Muslim in someone's life helps shatter stereotypes. Many people don't even realize how many Muslims they know. Cheers!

  • i didn't relize it was Muslim ! and im Muslim im ashamed of my self ive played oot and i dont think if heard them say much more than the begining part

  • @pike12345selmo This was in some of the older versions of the game. Later editions of the game omited this part of the soundtrack (the "chanting" sound) and the Moon/Star symbol on the movable "puzzle" blocks and floor switches. If the game you remember playing didn't have a Moon/Star on the Mirror Shield (and on the movable blocks), then you played a version of the game that didn't have this chanting in it.

  • Blood and Ashes, it's gibberish! Just because it sounds like what you interpret doesn't mean it is. Come on people, you're letting your minds trick you!

  • if this was in the game forest temple theme wouldnt be the scariest one for me.

  • have you got the riiiiing, have you got the riiiing, have you got the riiiiiing, NOOOOO I DOOOOOONNTT...

  • Oh, puh-lease everyone! It's just gibberish!

  • @17jun1989

All the Arabs at the Kaaba in Mecca worshipped the moon god Hubal. Crescent moon is the official symbol of Islam on top of every Mosque in the world and beside the Kaaba on top of the Maqam Ibrahim! It is the last remaining polytheistic remnant of ancient moon worship under a new sanitized monotheistic veil. Muhammad grew up worshipping many pagan gods in the Kaaba including the moon, either called Hubal and Allah.

  • I wonder what in english they are saying

  • @GameStar1300 They're saying something about how there is only one god

  • @GameStar1300 I read it was something close to "God is great"

  • They should have kept it. Only parrents complained

  • Actually i am lebanese and muslim. The chanting is words in our language. im not sure what some of them are but i know i showed the original to my mom and she realized what they were singing. Anyways their basically praying. In all honesty guys i think this add s to the fire temple and makes it a little creepy, maybe they should of put this in the shadow temple, that would of been creepy as hell. The moon on the shield was nice too. i have the orginal N64 version and i love it.True from a muslim

  • @IMALOVINGCOOKIE You're right. This would have made an amazing addition to the Shadow Temple. xD

  • @IMALOVINGCOOKIE How come I have the n64 original and there's no chanting in it? it had chanting in it when I had the original a while back.

  • @SuperChamona I believe the one you have now is the 1.2 version of Ocarina of Time that no longer has the chanting (which is on the emulators, and the GameCube as well) the chanting still remains in the 1.0 version (Gold Cartridge) and the 1.1 verison (Normal Grey Cartridge).

  • @OtakuEpsilonStation whats weird is it says 1998 on the front of it and it's silver. I had one back in 2003 that was dated 1998, 2003 yet it had the chanting.

  • what about the chanting makes the theme offensive?? i mean, is the chanting saying something in a different language??

  • Allah Akubar!

  • There were actually quite a few Muslim references in the original game. I'm surprised I never heard of any controversy around the moon and star symbol on the moving blocks.

  • @Nosidda89 there was complaints about those symbols such as the ones on the mirror shield, thats why in majoras mask all the blocks have majoras face, and the mirror shield has been changed

  • @Nosidda89 As a Muslim i kinda liked the Moon star symbol on the mirror shield, it looked cool, the symbol shouldn't mean anything they should of kept it.

  • I thought it was to avoid religious reprisals, not in response to them.

  • It would be like calling the Christian imagery in the Japanese releases of Castlevania games "provocative" even though the majority of Christian gamers never saw them.

  • I'm a Muslim and I didn't hear about any of this nonsense until GT's pop fiction thing. And really it doesn't sound specifically "Islamic". Every Muslim kid I knew growing up had this game there weren't any controversies really. It's just like the LBP and Zack and Wiki shit. People calling it a "backlash" and "controversy" when like little to no people are actually involved/complaining.

  • Hes sing: I am in a apple! I am in apple! I am in apple! aaaaaaaaaaahhhh

  • @axelfoley09 haha, when i was kid i always used to think it sounded like "thats alright, thats alright, thats alright, aaaahhhhh" oh memories.

  • I showed this vid to my Muslim friend and he thought it was cool that they used an Islamic chant in the music, and he wished it didn't change. He also thought the Mirror shield was cool.

  • Comment removed

  • lol this guy filmed a paper burning for 3 minutes.

  • I dunno if it's already been said, but the soundtrack of Cruis'n World, also for the N64 had some of the same excerpts from this chant...

    /watch?v=J4t-LKGED1c

I have both games and when I was a child I always thought that those songs had something that sounded alike. Now I know why!

It's a bit off-topic, but this reminds me of "Chaotic Dance 2" from the game Baten Kaitos Origins. The original (JP) version has a "Praise the Lord" line that was removed in the US version.

  • 2...and it says : in the name of God the most merciful the most compassionate , there no God but Allah , God is the greatest , I can clearly understand that since i'm Moroccan and I understand Arabic , I dunno why koji kondo was that obssesed with islamic symbols , i'm not offended by that as a Muslim (well a little bcoz of the fire temple) but in general i take as a compliment to give the main hero those islamic symbols (the crescent...) there youn go :)

  • 1- Well well , I wanna answer some of the people who were randomly making theories about why this theme was removed from OOT , first to my knowing , there were no requests from the muslims to remove this theme from OOT , Nintendo withdrew it itself for an unknown reason (probably to avoid being sued) and secondly Muslims don't care about a temple theme put into a japanese game they've got lot of other important stuff to do and the chant is indeed a ISLAMIC chant

  • this combined with the mirror shield's and the gerudo's crescent moon should have been a blatant reference > .>

  • this theme actually creeped the fuck out of me at night

  • I think I remember this chanting... was it removed for the 3DS or before it hit stateside on the N64

  • muslims should be angry about their countries being bombed but not about shit like this

  • This is actually in my Ocarina of Time for the N64. I have the special edition golden cartridge. All this time I thought this was the normal version of the fire temple music. I never knew they took it out.

  • I'm Muslim and LOVE this music over the first one.

I understand how Muslims would get enraged by this, and the symbol for blocks/and switches being moons (cause like lunar calendar). Coming from a very religious 15 year-old Muslim.

It's Zelda. If you hate something about any of them very deeply, you're not a true fan.

  • disturbing

  • haha! islamic comunnity's rage/ response!

  • Sound like Majora Mask first dungeon Oldowa hear in youtube /o2VK6vWGceQ

  • Thank you for taking it out, with it without it the game still rocks

  • its sad that these assholes wanted to change it the new melody is less good

so they have changed a whole melody in zelda i hope

    they are proud!!!!!:(

  • this is an incredibly creepy song but for some reason I keep coming back O_O

  • @risingphoenix86 this music really creeps me the fuck out... can't imagine playing this at night...

  • @PzMjDpr First time I heard this 2am one night o_O creeped me the fuck out and I couldn't sleep. But that's the power of Koji Kondo for you.

  • I love this music! I love the chanting!

  • the video makes me laugh! :D

  • So Osama was hiding in the fire temple the whole time!

  • @jigglysonic24 lol

  • I am Muslim. I like this better than the one they are using right now for the Fire Temple. I do understand why they wanted it to be different. Yes, because they didn't want their prayers in the Temple because they thought it symbolized hell.

For me, I don't really care. I like how it sounds mysterious and haunting. ^^'

  • To me, this sounds awfully creepy

  • who gives a fuck the religions, it sounds nice :P

  • @Potara031 agreed!

  • Gorons= Muslims

    Deku= Jews

    Hylians= Christians

    Zoras=Buddhists

    Gerudos=Muslims

    :3 I don't know if I'm right or wrong...

    DON'T WORRY I'M JEWISH AND ROMAN-CATHOLIC.

And my friends are Buddhist and Muslim.

So don't call me racist or whatever....

    PLEASE DON'T!

  • @Masterlink981 Link = Atheist, coz we're awesome

  • @superpredatorbros PFFFFF!!! Aren't atheists the ones that are mean to every religion? Aren't they a bunch of Communist Nazi Marxists?

  • @Masterlink981 No, not at all. :\ They just don't believe in a deity.

  • @Nat4Brendan Yeah I know but.... their the ones that just hate on religions and think their all that... FYI most of the Communists, Nazis, and Marxists were Atheist...

  • @Masterlink981 hitler said he was christian.

  • @SpeshuuAnunnaki Nope, Hitler worshipped the Devil. He was just hiding behind his Christian disguise... A good Christian wouldn't try to kill all the Jews. Also, I'm Jewish and Roman-Catholic. I'm a Hebrew Catholic. It's a new sect of Catholicsm. Read about it.

  • @Masterlink981 LOLOLOL! A GOOD CHRISTIAN WOULDNT KILL JEWS LOLOLOLOL

if your christian, your not jewish.. you cant be 2 religion.

  • @Masterlink981 dont be racist against atheists, i thought you were not racist.. YOU RACIST!

  • @SpeshuuAnunnaki Just kidding! I'm not racist against anybody. Besides.... I hate racists.

  • @Masterlink981 jews = not race

  • @Masterlink981 NO WAY! Hylians are defiantly Celtic/polythiests. and Gerudos idk hat, because they mostly have humans with vagians ruling and there is no earthly religion still existing for them. but they are like the amazonians.

    Racist? no.

but it being ok because your a jewish roman catholic? NO! that dosnt give you any special rights! your not even jewish if your christian.

  • @SpeshuuAnunnaki Ethnically and religiously... :P What gives. Why should I even answer you.

  • @Masterlink981 LOL you just did silly!

oh, and dekus are a "primitive" as your kind would call it type of hunter gatherer pagnism.

  • @SpeshuuAnunnaki Yeah, the Dekus I guess are a bit primitive. They are nothing like Jews! (That's coming from a Hebrew-Catholic (Jewish and Roman-Catholic)

  • @Masterlink981 LOL FGGT your like the naziz, you think your a aryan? YOUR NOT NOBEL!

  • @SpeshuuAnunnaki I'm not an Aryan....

  • @SpeshuuAnunnaki I said I'm not a fucking Aryan. I'm a Jew... :P

  • @Masterlink981 Aryan means Noble. thats what you think you are. you think jews are the supreme "thing" just like the nazis.

monotheists will pay for what they did to all pagans.

jews started it. unless, to shift the blame, you will admit that zoroastrian was the first monothiest religion, witch makes all the jew stories lies.

you think your great because you think jews built the pyramids. they were built before the jews whent there. babylonian scripts say jews went there to kill.

  • @SpeshuuAnunnaki Just stop, your just another Anti-Semite. You just hate all the monothestic religions don't you? DON'T YOU???? You accuse the Jews of racism which is an Anti-Semetic move. WAS I PICKING ON YOU BUDDY??? WAS I??? I DID NOTHING! SO JUST DROP THE FUCKING SUBJECT!

  • @Masterlink981 You did. all you monotheists did. You ruined the fucking world.

Anti semite means you hate ARABS. JEWS ARE NOT ARABS THEY ARE WHITES.

  • @Masterlink981 YOU ARE NOT SPECIAL!

  • @SpeshuuAnunnaki EXACTLY! I'M NOT SPECIAL! YOUR NOT SPECIAL! WE ARE ALL HUMAN BEINGS! LEARN FUCKING TOLERANCE WE ALL BLEED RED BLOOD!

  • @Masterlink981 or "spear chuckers"

  • The moon on moveable blocks was also removed in later versions... due to muslims complaint... but the jewish, buddhist and christian symbols (3 spirits, triforce, fountain fairy, eye of truth) were never removed. this sounds nothing like arabic chanting. don't give in to terrorism again nintendo...
