Written shot directed and edited and screened in TWO DAYS. 48 hour film project 2004 with a $00.00 budget. Any other variation on the the concept can blow me!
THis Shutter was made over the weekend of May 2, 2004...about 6 months before the Thai Shutter was released (9/9/04). This isn't a variant, it's a completely unrelated film with a coincidentally similar concept...made by people who at the time had never heard of the Thai 'Shutter.'
Scary film and I must say Bravo! for just 48 hours of production. It have the same theme as Thai's Shutter but my opinion it's very different. I think ghost in the photo film is kinda universal thing and itis not even come close to the copying issue, anyhow you should see Thai's Shutter. Very scary!
I don't think it is copying the asian shutter. This was freaky in a different way. The ending really creeped me out. I think it could've been a tad better if you had better actors. Besides that, great camera work. Great film.
Hey I'm the first one to comment ^.^ This movie is pretty freaky, but I can't help but compare it to the origanal asian one which is much better. I'm still glad you uploaded it though...
Thanks for the being the first! Believe it or not, our film actually came out first. We were unaware of the Thailand story when we wrote it. According to IMDB, the Thai film came out in Sept of 04 and ours was during the summer. We're very proud of our Shutter, as it was written, filmed and edited in 48 hours (thus, it was our entry in the Washington DC 48 Hour Film Festival for 04.)
