This was big in Jamaica in the 1950s as were all his hits, his cover of Dumplins is superb. Check out Googie Rene - Easy and Doc Bagby - Puddin'. All this stuff is referred to as Jamaican R & B just as northern soul is American Black music so is the Jamaican R & B. It was started by a man called Duke Vin who set up the first sound systems in the UK in the 1950s. Great to see the 78s which Duke would have played at his club.
Been searching for this song for some time. Wonderful to hear it again.
