  • Rory ρε κουφάλες

  • kickcopper10-Been listenin to Rory for way many years and still get that feeling that I am home near Memphis in the cotton fields of ( Haywood Co) Tn when I hear him.Sleepy John and I did some of his blues back in the ;70"s. ROCK ON .

  • Best track ever from Rory.......I discovered him late....pity!

    Better late than never......thks

  • its a drobo

  • @sandyman1960 No its not a Dobro, its a National resonator and the white binding on the neck means that it is a National Triolian. Dobros have a spider bridge, Nationals have a biscuit bridge which is a totally different system. They both are made of metal though.

  • Nice one :o)

  • I simply L O V E this number.

Irish Tour '74 is an epic live2album.

  • guess what my first child will be called ?

  • @factie Guitar?

  • @factie Crow?

  • Is Alvin Lee watching the concert??? (03.42) I'm quite sure, it's him! Another great one; seems to enjoy himself mightily and rightly so. The performance is pure magic.

  • Rory was the genuine article and the only one who did not sell out his music. i rank him above all of them - page, beck, trower, hendrix, etc.

  • Still my all-time-hero!

  • clapton's a fraud, who cares what he says.

  • @wheelsonfire65 agree

  • absolute genius<3

  • Good blues song!

  • Brilliant!

  • tuning ?

  • @jebas1322

    D A D F# A D

  • It's far far better than original more soul in that song what Rory plays.

  • Its kinda scary.. The artist's that really give everything into they play, they just pass away.. its like they gave there life into there songs and it just makes death come faster

  • what concert is this taken from?

  • @hotknuckels I want to say Irish Tour '74, but I'm not certain. It has some of the footage from Irish Tour. I remember seeing that sign in there. But, whatever the case... Viva Irish Tour '74! It's a musical film beyond greatness.

  • I hate it when people say rory g is under rated! any guitar player or blues fan knows rory was up there with the best of them... hendrix was even quoted saying gallagher was the best.. RIP rory

  • Rory was good - but Ainsley Listers version of this is SUPERIOR in every way............

  • Rory at his very best!! But on the other hand: when wasn't he???

I still miss his great performance and his enthousiasm.

Luckily we still have his music!

  • I am speechless. Brilliant. Timeless. W o n d e r f u l.

  • looks a little like a young clint eastwood with long hair in this video...or should i say clint eastwood looks like rory gallagher with short hair in this video

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY. Miss you and love you forever !!! I've got my beer, smoke and YOU playing my day away. Cheers... and here's to you sweetie.XX

  • gave ya a thumbs up bud, never once heard his name mentioned in any top 10 list of great guitarists an yet when they asked hendrix how it felt to be the greatest guitarist in the world he said '' i dunno , ya wana ask rory gallagher,,,,,,,,,,,,,,R.I.P. rory

  • rory gallagher festival 2nd of june ballyshannon here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!yeah.....gettin there as da crow flies!

  • wonderful!

  • Oppression was basically the fundamental element to the Blues being invented in the USA. It took 800 years in Ireland, but oppression carved this absolute gem of a man too. With crippling debt comes the worst economic crisis in the history of the Irish state, and a couple of really great musicians are starting to shine in the Republic right now. I hope we start to hear more and more, better and better musicians here :)

  • @CurseOfTheGods the script are up there , cert

  • Great composer and guitarplayer. but above that ; a very kind person.

  • So beautiful... so great !!!

We all miss him... so very much !!!

  • as the crow flies.....it listens to rory gallagher on its mp3 player

  • jimi hendrix was once asked how it felt to be the greatest guitarist in the world, to which he replied "i don't know how it feels ask Rory Gallagher".. enough said

  • @karlrothwell no way, is that true?

  • GEANT !!!!!!!

  • fuckin hell...since I was about 13, every time I hear Rory he gets me right where it hurts man

  • When one day Jimy Hendrix was asked how it felt to be the best guitar player, he just said: why don't you ask Rory Gallagher ? That says it all !

  • Technically it is a cover .........but he owns it fo real!!! can u dig it ???

  • Don't ever stop...Rory....

  • AWESOME STUFF ---TAKES ME BACK DOWN THAT OLD ROAD

  • i kissed the stone years ago... yeah!

  • Great cover by the Irish Master.

  • Timeless...\m/

  • in the days of my youth this was it. every saturday night live in europe followed by irish tour 74 every weekend. the best guitarist God ever breathed a breath into

  • @andymcb10572 So very well said and so right

  • brilliant..again!

  • Thanx!!!!!

  • Brilliant!

  • Jimmy Hendrix was once asked, "What does it feel like to be the best guitarist in the world?" and he said, "I don't know, why don't you ask Rory Gallagher."

  • love this tune! Rory is just a genius!

  • Wow! I love this!

  • I simply just L O V E this number. So authentic.. Epic!

Irish Tour 74 is one of my absolute favourite vinyls in my collection.

    R.I.P Rory.

  • Epic

  • rory your time wasn`t right ,however fore us that heare you it is perfect. You where grand me hanna to you be blessed

  • if u dont know how to play guitar after watching this you will want to! rory is the best musician ever to put his hands on the six strings of a guitar! he does evrything perfect when standing on a stage with his guitar

  • pure blues !!

  • fantastic

  • It is my understanding the Mr. E. Clapton expressed that Mr. R. Gallagher WAS THE GENTLEMAN (and he was a REAL GLETLEMAN) that encouraged him to play the "blues" again.

It really is interesting to realize that Mr. R. Gallagher NEVER PLAY NOTHIN BUT THE BLUES.

Mr. R. Gallagher is the most underrated blues/guitarris EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

  • @gerardoerak Yeah Yeah

  • @gerardoerak Rorys album Top Priority was nothing but pure Rock and Roll. R,I,P, RORY

  • @gerardoerak dat word nogal eens onderschat.

  • As a guitarist and live performer, Rory Gallagher smoked everybody's ass. That's all there is to it.

  • This is one of the greatest musical performances of the 20th Century.

Everything is executed on this performance to it's limit and beyond.

  • Sweet genius.......

  • Unreal.

  • What a genius! I love the crowd participation!!

  • I saw Rory do this in a small arena in London, Canada...I've seen many bands over the years and I've never seen a band work harder than these guys and Rory....saw him many times after that...sorry he's gone...a great influence on my playing...thanks Rory

  • Groso Groso Rory!!!

    Excelente!

  • grandissimoooooooo!!!

  • Is that Alvin Lee @ 3:35?

  • Phantastic*****

  • the take from the irish tour album differs a bit from this one

that take is as moving a song as ive ever heard

actually there are many times i cant even bring myself to listen to it

    it just cuts too deep

never had the privilege of meeting rg

tho i have friends who can say they did

i can say his music had an authenticity

that for me no other musical artist has ever matched

the news of his passing brought tears to my eyes but the music lives on

    t/y for the 'tube

  • I was workin in my shop the other night and heard this for the first time ever, the Live Irish version and I had to stop workin and just listen! I was completely blown away, even called the station to make sure I heard the credits rite! I will most definately have this album some time in the near future!

    PEACE!

  • IS this in open d?

  • yes

  • I'm really missing Rory. There is something simple and honest about his music, something earthen I miss in modern music. Saw him on German Rockpalast in the late 70s early 80s - can't exactly remember, but what I can remember, he blew the Gruga Hall away and he left us gaping mouthed in front of the TV. Hope he's having a good time in heaven... Thanks Rory

  • This just makes you smile and laugh in pleasure! I'm so glad i got to see Rory live a couple of times. He was real the way we all should try and be.

  • fucking great!!!THE BEST!!!!

  • I love TJW too! But there is only one Rory, & now he is gone. I've known people with booze issues, wish he could have been "saved" too. "Nice one Rory, Nice one Son, C'mon Rory, Give us another one........."

  • he is the best

  • Rory does some fine guitar work! Definitely one of my fav guitarists

  • Hell yes, it's about time you discovered Rory.

Stop searching for others, stick to this guy, as you aint gonna discover any better.

And do say thanks to that friend of yours !

  • Rory is the business

  • Thank you so much for posting this. It's different to the Irish Tour '74 audio version. Fantastic stuff.
