  • i broken my wall with my hand yeah...!!

  • realy pisses me off when people down taekwondo, specialy when they dont down karate. because i have taken both and there almost the exact same damn thing. you can say hand techniques in taekwondo are lacking, ill agree with you. but every martial arts has weaknesses, so does jujitsu it has no good stand up. or wingchun is good in close but has no reach. taekwondos kicks are very powerful. i guarantee if i kick you, it will hurt and possibly send you to the hospital

  • @agneroth by your comments I believe you have no clue. Win Chun "no reach"?? Karate and Tae kwon Do "the same damn thing"?? Both of those comments are ill-conceived. And you are telling the internet if you kicked them you could guarentee it would hurt or possibly put them in hospital. Now that comment trumps them all...lol KEEP ON TROLLING. LOL

  • so when he says move freeLy, does he mean, i dont aLways need to stand in the stance, but i need to know how to snap into the stance and react without thinking?

  • @HydrophobicPELICAN : I think he means dont stand your ground and be ready to switch sides to take advantage of openings.

  • @sacredthornapple oh ok, thanks, that is something definatLy to keep in mind

  • 3 people need to get beat up

  • I like so much, tank you sifu!

  • "when sparing with a partner only reserve the power not the skill"

  • WTF taekwondo is a sport, ITF taekwondo is a martial art.

ITF taekwondo has self defence in it, self defence is apart of ITF taekwondo.

  • @TheSome1one

lol self defence in TKD only taught in black belts....

i got to yellow without having any self defence and just kicks

  • @ashrocks87 Well where i learn it, self defence is apart of our system.

Every belt grading (so not including tips) we have to do some self defence..

But i guess every school is different and i respect that.

  • @ashrocks87 Did you learn ITF or WTF?

  • @TheSome1one lol

  • You know all martial art huh? Well can you explain now about this Northern Praying Mantis

  • cool master

  • i love wing chun

  • hey if u put ur leg on his leg.......... he still can punch ur leg right?? or break ur leg

  • Muchas gracias Sifu

  • Great videos dear sensei

  • he sais six as Sick, ;P

  • its not about who's style is better, some times one styles specializes on some thing different from your styles so keep an open mind and maybe you can learn a little from others but at same time its not necessary to go and change your system all together and maybe by learning from others you will understand your own a little bit better :)

  • TDK is an art and sport... ITF style and WTF style...

  • a sponge? lol

  • i absorb these videos like a thing that soaks up stuff.....what is the name of somthing that absorbs material......slipps my mind

  • Bruce Lee can beat anybody using any style including Wing Chun. Just because you lost with Wing Chun does not means Wing Chun is the problem. Wing Chun is not perfect but it is better for people who have speed and more build

  • he can't beat anyone because he's dead

  • bruce lee cant beat anybody atleast he cant beat me because his dead

  • Morbid, but funny. Still RIP Bruce Lee.

  • Very good video Master Wong but if you were in battle against a Tai Chi fighter how would you handle him with Wing Chun?I was in a battle today against a boxer and I had no chance of beating him with Wing Chun cause I can't get close to him and punch.

  • i would use kicks against a boxer.........

  • Kick him. Hard, and often.

  • then you should have more trainings or work harder

  • It is not going to work! Any Ku Fu guy will tell you the same thing! Wing Chung is not perfect! When I used to study Tak Kwon Do, my master used to tell me that I had to study kick boxing or Tak Kwon Do as well! When it comes to kick boxing, Thai style is the most "powerful" one!

  • i will tell you the same thing

you just need to work hard to get better

even if you have the best skills you never work on it hard enought you wont be able to use it when you need to use it

  • Wing Chung is for close encounter! How can you deal with kick-boxer--like Tak Kown Do or Thai style.

Yesterday, I made a mistake on my comment! I should have said, " When I used to study Tak Kown Do, my master used to tell me that I also had to study Wing Chung!"

    Nice to see your reply!

    Have a good day!

  • ask your mind and body how to encounter

if you have been working out

it wont even be a problem duh -_-

  • yes wing chun is close quarter combat dealing with a kickboxer depends on your skill to get in close to the opponent then deal damage from there

  • @Eight8411 Everything hand to hand is close quarter combat? If your saying elbows distance a wing chun user can be at a normal distance and still be okay with a kick boxer. Its block can be used for those high kicks or low kicks, and over cuts and under cuts. So yeah learn a little more before saying that.

  • @shukaku

if you are a wing chunner and you get close to a kick boxer, then his kicks' momentum is little and has little force and you can also block the leg before it even begins to kick so...

  • nothing is perfect, its how you use it

you say thai style is most powerful ?

    then go take muai thai

its all on working out and

    how you use your skills

-_- -the master teach you something

you need to work on it as hard as you can

and then use it like a tool

  • Its not about style, its about practitioner and application of technique.

  • its all in the fighter and how u develope the kick if u took say kung fu and practiced a double jump kick against a tree for hours a day. for a year after that year your double jump kick would be way more powerful then any other strike

  • tai kwon do is a sport not a martial art...

  • tell that to the korean army haha

  • @MrBLUEDAWG actually.. taekwondo is a martial arts, if you learn it from the right places.i have learnt from ITE and WTF and some teachers teach diffrent things.where i learn, in singapore, my teacher focus on defence.street fight.how to defend.he doesnt really do much on sports part.so pls, learn it from EVERYWHERE then make ur conclusion.

  • @q9421324o i have taught self defense in england, don't try and school me.

  • @MrBLUEDAWG i school you anytime i want! even if u taught in england ok. so does that mean that u went to tkd from itf and wtf and the others? the point is difrent teacher has diffrent styles and teach diffrent things. the one i learn is NOT sport at all. so if the one u saw is sports means all the other tkd in everywhere else is sports also?

  • @q9421324o WELL LET ME SCHOOL YOU. TKD IS A SPORT! IT IS BEEN THEIR PRACTICE TO COMPETE AND TRAIN THEIR SKILLS IN SHOWMANSHIP, NOT FOR COMBAT IN THE REAL WORLD. I ASSURE YOU, IF YOU USE THAT TYPE OF TRAINING AND APPLY IT IN A REAL COMBAT SITUATION, YOU WILL FAIL. NOW, TAKE THAT TRAINING INTO THE RING AND YOU WILL PREVAIL. SPORT.

  • @MrFeatheredSerpent I HAVE TAKEN MY TRAINING ON THE STREETS AND IT WORKS JUST FINE. ALTHOUGH ITS NOT THE BEST STYLE N STUFF BUT IT WORKS. MY TKD IS THE MARTIAL ARTS TYPE. I DO NOT COMPETE. I TRAIN TO USE IT ON THE STREETS. I DO SELF DEFENCE AND ALL SORTS OF STUFF. I DUN JUST PRACTICE ON SPORTS. GET UR FACTS RIGHT BEFORE U SAY ANYTHING.

  • @q9421324o LMAO!!

  • @MrFeatheredSerpent i know plenty of taekwondo practitioners who have used taekwondo in self defence in real situations many times, its the same damn thing as karate. karate has been around sence the 19th century if it was useless in self defence in real situations it would not be so popular. only people who couldnt take it bitch about it. i do taekwondo and i dont know any normal people who can woop my ass

  • Comment removed

  • @MrBLUEDAWG Its a martial arts to but its made for sports not defense.

  • @MrBLUEDAWG TKD is a martial art. It actually involves a lot more hand strikes and grappling at higher levels. I am not a TKD practisioner, but I know all martial arts have its own merits.

  • @supertarzan12

well TKD must be fucked up to only teach hand strikes at a higher level then?

or you are talking about jujitsu or judo.

  • @MrBLUEDAWG <---cant believe people actually say stuff like this haha

  • @yulaw3 my comment was in reaction to someone else. they have since removed their comment, so my comment looks random...lol if anyone took time to ask me why i said it, then maybe there wouldn't have been so many comments toward the subject...lol

  • @MrBLUEDAWG How is taekwondo a sport if body guards and special agents in Korea practice taekwondo?

  • @MrBLUEDAWG in korea the army learn taekwondo for millitary.

  • @xSilkify yes, the original form of tae kwon do is taught to the army, but what we see today is a sport. it has been their ambition to compete in the olympics and other "sporting" events for showmanship. so, in that they have trained their students for these events which changed the dynamic of the original form. this goes for all styles that have found themselves training to compete and not to fight. competitions have rules, war does not.

  • @MrBLUEDAWG True.

  • @MrBLUEDAWG then you have to say mma is also a sport and so is karate. because taekwondo and karate are about the same damn thing. taekwondo is a national sport in korea but it is also a martial art. do you even know what martial arts means ? any combative art is realy a martial art includeing boxing, wich also can be concidered a sport

  • Master Wong thank you for all the great advice I studied Shotokan and even earned my black, but never learned the basics like you teach them. May God bless you for all your generosity !!! Mark

  • Fleery. =)

  • master wong teaches lessons so fluent

  • love it :)

  • I like dis p'chicula lesson!

  • master wong i wathc your all clips and i like them but i want to ask you. is it more easy to capture his elbow and to punching him? because this more difficult to making to much movements. but if you catch his elbow you can control him and you are most savety there?

  • longest weapon to the closest target. but i'm sure he'll get to the trapping in more advanced lessons.

  • Very valid points in regards to don't kick or punch straight out in terms of distance you'll loose the target! "Question Master Wong" What are your thoughts on if your opponent has a far greater reach than you? How would you handle that problem and would the same principals apply? Many thanks for your lessons. Take care.

  • Very good video
