The only thing that sucks about uncharted 1 is that every room you go into or every corner you turn there's a shootout which can get really repetitive and the bad guys you shoot take like 10 shots to kill. Other than that the games awesome!
I love the series. I've always been a big fan of Naughty Dog games: Crash Bandicoot, Jak & Daxter and, obviously, Uncharted. I want to buy Drake's Deception, but I got a couple of games I want to beat first.

Comparing Halo TO UNCHARTED!!! Halo... is Halo. Which is fine, honestly. BUT UNCHARTED IS FUCKING UNCHARTED. That's... like comparing the Batman Movies (With the exception of Batman and Robin) to the Superman movies (reversed here, since Uncharted is obviously the better-selling batman movies. lol).
@hazzardkitsune halo pretty much kicked off the entire shooting genre. sure, you had golden eye and whatnot before halo, yet at the time, shooters weren't even that popular, like a gimmick. like hoe people though the computer was a silly gimmick before it was even popular. so you can thank halo for uncharted. I'm not saying uncharted isn't good, because it's amazing. but I think halo sold much more than uncharted. I'm not sure, if it did, that's great. it's earned it.

Uncharted is LOADS better than Gears 1. U2 ahnds down dominates Gears 2. Can't say about Gears 3 cause I sold my 360 for my PS3, and U3 isn't out yet.
One of the most briliant games I've ever had the pleasure of playing and becoming a fan of on the next-gen consoles. Its even more fantastic that the sequal managed to blow it out of the water! UNCHARTED 3 baby!

@hkrogers ill tell you honestly that i wish i had a reason to still like halo like i did when halo 1 was released. but i dont. after halo 3 and halo odst tainted my view of halo forever, playing reach was revolting. and i didnt finish the first mission, but mostly because...i knew exactly how it was gonna be. and didnt wanna do it again. also i saw all my friends who got it abandon it after a month. meaning i would have abandoned it in a week.

I'm finding Uncharted to be one of the most infuriating game I've played. I'll likely get crap for this, but I'm used to Tomb Raider; not without its issues, but platforming's tighter, the vehicle sections are more fun (stopping every 5 seconds to clear barrels: gah?!) and the shoot-outs aren't cheap.
I love how intelligent Uncharted's enemies can be, but they can also dodge bullets! And the number of clear headshots that don't register...
All that said, it's still worth playing purely for the story and characters. I just hope Uncharted 2 is a much tighter and less infuriating experience.
Sure! Uncharted is good but Jak and Daxter is a master peice. If you only now naughty dog because of uncharted then i feel sorry for you because JaD are 5 times better then any uncharted game. I am telling you from personal experience. I think every JaD fans is disappointed in naughty dog for abandoning the series.

I just beat this game for the first time. The combat took some getting use to, I died so many times I felt like throwing my controller through the wall. Other than that, I absolutely loved that game.

I just beat this game for the first time. The combat took some getting use to, I died so many times I felt like throwing my controller through the wall. Other than that, I absolutely loved that game.

One of the greatest games for the ps3 right there. And whats great is the sequel is just as good, if not better at times. Great call on that one.

I think the story of Uncharted: Drakes Fortune was better that its sequeal. Although, the sequeal had some amazing cenimatics.

i just recently got uncharted 1 and 2 and i gotta say.. i was missin out.. they are in my top 5 for best ps3 games ever, i cannot wait to uncharted 3 comes out, ive already pre-ordered it, fully paid for and everything, now i just gotta wait

I'm going to utter blasphemy on your comments, Jeremy. I don't like Firefly at all. River came in too soon, the writers didn't give a crap about the minor characters, the great universe they created went to waste, Malcolm Reynolds was wussy, and it all devolved into romance novel trite at the end. Ho-hum.
