I drive an mr2, Off the line my mr2 smokes nearly everything, I'm stock and I take evo's and sti's off the line and in the quarter mile, I have a JDM spec motor though, it makes the most difference having all the weight in the back, it feels like an airplane.

I feel you man I got a stock 3S mr2 with bolt on's as well & I smoke evo's & sti's all day long!!!! I actually destroyed a S2k with a 60-1 last night by like 5 cars!!!
