  • i still play thru the qfg series at least once a year

  • I'm playing Skyward Swprd

  • ahhh, i love the original QFG, and remember playing it when it was still called "Hero's Quest"!

  • @alspageddi lol yeah, I still have my floppies and instruction manual where it was still called Hero's Quest

  • @cnlokeefe nice! wish I could find those old floppies (not like I could use them now, of course...)

  • I never played this game before, but kudos to whoever at Sierra designed this scene. The text, visuals, and most importantly the music are like in perfect harmony. Given the limitations technically, it's amazing how much emotion they can put into one scene. That's real skill.

  • If i live to be 90 years old. I will still remember that song, the game, Sierra, lights on the tree, the rock, Erana's place.

  • wonderful tune, wonderful game!

    awesome stuff!

    thanks for the vid! :)

  • it's strange that so many people remember "Erana's Peace". I still think about this place at least a few times a year. Its almost like I was there at some point. Whoever wrote this game knew what they were doing.

  • @ScottHorn9 Me too.

  • I used to sit in that spot for hours just listening to that tune.....so nostalgic.

  • YES!!! TRUE Epicleasian MUSIC!!!! I would just chill in front of my computer for so long during this game scene. ^^ Fond, fun, fan-venturous times they were on the old Tandy! FOR THE WOOT! Many thx for this upload T.T too beautiful for words....

  • Epic. :)

  • This game is definately a classic. The music, puzzles, graphics, and storyline is just brilliant. Also, it's the only game I know of where you can eat mushrooms and watch the neon sky.

  • wow =D

  • My favorite series ever since before I can remember. Thank you for this upload.

  • Erana's Peace..always felt so safe whenever I went there, sleeping among the flowers.

Your health, magic and vitality are all fully healed when you rest at Erana's Peace.

  • This is probably my favorite game in the series (I even prefer the EGA over the VGA remake). This is probably my favorite song, too. It's amazing how much mood the old SoundBlaster FM-synth music can put into a game like this. The limited graphics really force you to use your imagination, but the entire journey, from start to end, is truly amazing.

  • Oh my.. this game (especially this version of the game) is so legendary from the story to the music.

I remember playing this game before even the age of 10, never being able to finish it. Now when approaching 30's I finished the game and still get chills from Baba Yaga's hut, the Kobold in the cave, Dryad and so on..

  • Can someone upload the music from fighting a Wyvern (I think that's what they were called). It's like some Yngvie track or something. ALL of the music from this game is great!

  • Wrong game, I think. You're thinking of 4.

  • Thankyou for uploading this I'm downloading and making an mp3 now

  • So I could train my magic user here until his magic is maxed out? Or is open the only usable spell?

  • Nah. You can only Open the rock once.

  • would love to hear the Amiga version again... that's the Hero's Quest I remember

  • Amazing. Touches me to the very core.

Now if only someone could upload Erana's Garden from QFG4... *ahem*

  • Ha! I remember when I was a kid I would turn on this part of the game right before I went to sleep in real life and pretend I was sleeping in this meadow.

  • dude I just have to say, that's fucking awesome!

Does anyone else think the people that made these games*MUST* have been on some serious drugs ? I mean..my god..smoke some pot, jam on some code then come up with this ? Genius.

  • @joser590 Well... I'm still doing that... when I really need to relax before sleeping. The music will softly take me to that meadow where I feel safe, and I feel as though someone gentle was watching over me. And I'm 25 :p ...

  • @Vestu Me too! I played this when I was about 9 or 10 years old.

  • Comment removed

  • @joser590 Yeah I was 8 or 9 back then :p I should probably play all of them again. Have a good easter weekend.

  • @joser590

Me too :) fun days back then... how time goes so fast. :(

  • Thanks for this, i love this music, and the fruit sounds so yummy.

  • Some people are butchering this song...

The sound system here doesn't do it any justice, but the subtle hesitation in the melody are absolutely vital to give the feeling of Erana's Peace. Otherwize, its all rushed and looses its delicate natue.

  • ahh... i love this place. i want to go to sleep there.
