I am Haitian and I have red hair on my head, my beard is light brown, and my body hair is blond. But I am still black in the U.S. I am no longer Haitian. I like being black (or a maroon/mawon), but do I have to get beat with it.

I am Haitian and I have red hair on my head, my beard is light brown, and my body hair is blond. But I am still black in the U.S. I am no longer Haitian. I like being black (or a maroon/mawon), but do I have to get beat with it.
I tell you American's are so racist. I didn't even know I was black until I arrived in to the U.S. This is a very peculiar country as it relates to racial identity.
Yes, Haiti has a light skin-dark skin conflict in it's history, but it is not as overt as in the U.S.

I once dated a girl from Uruguay in Texas ,her brother and her whole family were "Irish" pale and 100% European yet he was dating a girl with olive skin a darker features who was "white" and they didn't like him because he was "Hispanic" even though none of his blood was from Spain or Portugal ,they were Irish Dutch!
