for those people like the old space mountain its not the peoples fault that they want to move on you only like the old one better becuase you road it your hole life and the new i like better and i like the old one to i think they change it becuase so someone easle will like the new one in a different way. In a happy way. The old is to fell more rock in roll and scared and thrilled. You need to learn to keep changing if you want to like every new space mountain that they make.

I only got to ride this twice before they changed it. I miss how awesomely dark it was and you could only see the space ships glow that you ride. I don't mind the new one I just wish I could have gotten more times to ride it before then. The first time I rode this ride I got to have the music playing, but the last time riding Space Mountain the sound wasn't working too well. :(

the legendary cheesy style space music of the 70's,, i love it,,, dammm i miss that old SPACE music, they would play as u rode this ride,, and u use to be able to see the stars alot better, and the planets, and also as u rode u would see the outline shadows of the bars of coaster, that looked like it was gonna knock your head off as you road,, why did they change this ride,, it was EPIC befor

@JOKAWILD26 This soundtrack (minus sound effects) is on the Disneyland happiest celebration on earth CD, along with the MIDDLE ONLY of the new soundtrack. I found the CD at Barnes & Noble in the children's music, because thats where the Disney music was in the store.

ok the new one is WAY DIFFERENT, first the entrance on da ramp, da tunnel should have had the illousion lights everywhere,top, bottom, and, sides.

The Space Mountain in Disney WORLD (FL) is getting a make-over, yes. But the one in DisneyLAND (CA) just got a make-over in 03 or 05.

I've seen a walkthrough since they started doing the soft openings and the queue line looks cool! There's a new interactive game kinda like asteroids that you can play now while you wait in line!

Wow...thanks for this. Nice attempt at filming the inside in the dark eh? lol. I also played for the opening of this ride with the Long Beach Junior Concert Band. After our performance the line was all the way up mainstreet to get on it. I waited till almost closing time to finally get on the ride.

If I am not mistaken, wasn't the tractor beam light on the second lift red? This video shows it changing colors which I know suggests that some of the footage was taken from the Tokyo Disneyland version of Space Mountain before it was refurbished.

I been on the old one, you can see the track. It alson swayed and cracked the gound. Not good for earthquakes. But the new one in my opinion is better.

I never got to see the original Space Mountain (it was closed for the remodel by the time I gained interest in these kinds of rides), but the new one is currently my favorite Disneyland attraction. :) It sure broke down a lot while I was there for spring break though ...

yeah it was too rough. there were a few deaths someone hit there head on one of the tracks and disney doesnt like bad publicity so they had to change it. awsome ride though

The Space Mountain in CA has one track. Matterhorn Bobsleds, which was the basis for Space Mountain at WDW, does have two tracks, but very different;not mirrors like WDW.

is just the smae layout, the original track was removed and replaced by another one to make the ride smoother and less rough.

the one in florida is a one seater thats the only thing i dont like about it cuz the first time i ride it i was 5 and i wanted to ride with my dad but we had to ride separate cuz of that

I miss the old Chocolate chip cookie meteor projection and the music to the old one was so much better... plus the big orange meteor thing in it near the top was cool... if they just took those 3 things i mentioned and put them in the new one I would love space mountain 2x more than I do now... the new one isnt bad but the old one had that charm you just dont have now with the newer version!

Yeah there did, after the first lift hill when the track bends left, if you looked to your right you would see a giant chocolate chip cookie. Mmmm it makes me want one right now..
