  • good one boys.

  • Great!, Do you make the program SID and VIC in Assembler? Great Job! AWESOME

  • awsome a sid version of boards of canada

  • Please release the source for this. I'd love to comb it over and see how it was made!

  • could you please take some other BOC songs and "C64 convert" them? that would be just super nice of you.

  • The track is arendition of Boards of canada - Turquiose Hexagonal Sun. -1 for no mention of it.

  • @gammypoofle *Turquoise Hexagon Sun

  • @earlofeastjurong Indeed. I must've been unsober when posting that comment :/. I also missed a whitespace! Thanks for the correction :)

  • @gammypoofle no worries dude. Music Has The Right To Children is my favourite album.

  • @earlofeastjurong A thoughtful choice considering this rendition!

  • how is this technic called ? thanks

  • Hey P0rnX, How did you convert the video to "symbols" on the c64? What software did you use besides VICE? Or was it all programmed/drawn by hand?

    Super Cool Demo!!!

  • <3 boc and everything they've done

  • This demo is a work of art.

  • Boards of Canada music! Great! That text is scrolling little like in Slaine game ;)

  • incredible demo!

  • please link to this demo at retrogamersunited . com wonderful melody

  • Art is one of the gateways to knowing thyself!

(hence, knowing "god" / the universe)

  • This is so ... emotional.. deep.. philosophical evoking.. I love the atmosphere this gives off!

Can this be downloaded on the usual places?

  • This is seriously deep and sick awesome! I love it!

  • ...sometimes I fall into a sort of self-hypnosis, where I wander what if they could see and listen what could be really done with the C64 back in the '80s

  • No technical bravado, but packed with atmosphere. Subtle and haunting... great demo!

  • Stills spooks me out!

  • Is this tune originally by Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada or Tycho? Sounds so familiar.

  • @tubeMonger boards of canada - turquoise hexagon sun

  • Did anyone of you recognize that the letters aren´t randomly? I paused the vid while the whitescreens and there was something written of a mine disaster and trackerdogs...

  • atleast a nice'n new effect.. great work! is it basic ?

  • haha board of canada

  • Yeah I was there when he did it at my house and this spooks me...I dunno but the c64 created one hell of an ambiance...even now I'm writing this as fast as I can just to get out of this page!!!!! SPOOKY STUFF!!!

  • what means BoC?

  • Boards of Canada.

  • THat was genius. I never had a C64, I joined in at the Amiga times. But whoever has recreated this BoC track and made the cool vid, is full of awesome.

  • @Feyd01 The track is done/covered by Zabutom.

  • Cool, thank you! I shall look out for this Zabutom.

  • Where is the PSID file? I must have it!!!!

(Finally, someone made a BOC adaptation for SID)

  • amazing...

  • this is beautifully made. any mp3 available?

  • The Boards of Canada cover by Zabutom was a perfect match.

  • This sounds like its played on an emulator. I don't hear the distortion from the SID's resonator.

  • Yep, I made the video with VICE. I do have a working C64 here, but can't capture videos from it.

  • Gotta' love the 64. And this demo.......
