  • Now confirmed that wgrz news just switched to HD news at 11p on 10/29, the second Buffalo station to go true HD.

  • WGRZ newscasts is going HD on the final weekend of October simular to WKBW did go to HD news on 8/13.

  • @412Flame HD starts tonight 10/29/11 with the 11pm newscast. WGRZ did run a "Now in HD" promo earlier this morning and throughout the day.

  • Nice catch with the new HD-ready set, the upgraded graphics, and the only Gannett station with a good looking rundown. As for the music- at least they added the NBC chimes back (they started with it in 2008, dropped the chimes about a month later, and just now brought them back.)

  • Wow. Gannett actually did a very nice job with the redesign. Too bad they still have to use the horrible music. You can't polish THAT turd. If any other news music was used, I'd give it an A- or an A.

  • @myronfalwell There will be an updated open coming in November 2011 since WGRZ is switching to HD.
