Do u honestly think that a plantation owner would whip and kill his slaves just for fun? Slaves were often invited in to the home and given meals. Also, look what happened at Roanoke island. A whole colony wiped out by indians, I'm not saying taking their land was right, but I don't think many of these attacks were unprovoked.
