You're 100% correct about Palin (that's why the clip with her horrible answer to Katie Couric's question was included). I was trying to flip their criticisms of her treatment by the media back on them. If they thought she was smart enough they would have her doing interviews and press conferences so obviously they know she's in over her head. So at that point she's reduced to a "pretty face". That's why the next clip is her in the swimsuit.
