Not sure if you've ever tried such a thing RC but it's far from easy to make a case. Anyway, if you look at the performance of the NU w-p funds over recent years in comparison with the huge sums they've salted away into the inherited estate, and in relation to the pay they've given to top directors, you can see pretty quickly that this company talks about being customer centric, whilst systematically fleecing and diddling (as Chair of TSC put it) its policyholders.
Certainly not spikey - I am nursing a £30k mortgage endowment shortfall thanks to NU - probably about a tenth of what they've just paid Bruce Willis, Ringo Sarr etc to appear on that name change advert!
Just about all insurance companies in the UK have had problems with endowment shortfalls in the last few years. :(
When you took out the endowment, were you warned there's a possibility it might not cover your mortgage in full? If you weren't warned, then you could have a case for claiming compensation against whoever sold you the policy, as it may have been mis-sold.
Aviva are a bunch of self serving crooks who look no further than the pockets of their top directors and shareholders. Failing endowments; non performing bonds; and now the great reattribution rip-off.

Is this the same company that has recently agreed to pay 300,000,000 Euros compensation in Holland?
Is this the same company that has been nominated "Scrooge of the Year 2008 in The Times newspaper?

Kelly Holmes is a great athlete. But, Aviva/Norwich Union is not managing my investment at all well.
