  • Having enjoyed Filter's earlier stuff since it was released, and currently discovering this record -- it's safe to say I have faith in music still and good tunes to enjoy for a long time.

  • Theres a bonus track on the Europe extra disc version called "Leaving without a note"

The Bonus cd is actually better than some of the album songs.

  • Its a good thing Filter offered a bonus CD with this record, otherwise this record would of been a major dissapointment.

  • @hellohellogone Nope the record was awesome. Your a retard. The bonus CD was for real fans so give that away to someone who deserves it shithead.

  • i have the feeling Grindermetalhead is a bit jealous... ;-)

dude, why don't you stop it here... everyone got what you meant, even the people who don't give a fuck about it...

  • @realkontschi No no don't wink! Grindermetalhead is Jealous as hell!. Grindermetalhead is obviously a failed musician that nuclear blast past on. Now his only public offering is to bitch like a little girl completey anonymously like the coward he is. Cry little GIRL Squirt a few tears. Your Daddy's favorite little GIRL!!

  • @richardzaqxsw haha, dude, you're awesome! :D

  • How come @Grindermetalhead hasn't killed himself yet?

  • oh can you please go to a fucking forum or something? it's still a matter of taste! there is no good or bad music, there is only music you like or don't.

  • @Grindermetalhead Ewwwwww I most have really stuck a nerve! We all know your Borat! Hahahahahaha faggot. ENVY much! shit head from Kyrgyzstan! FUCK METAL! FILTER FOREVER! FILTER FOREVER!FILTER FOREVER!FILTER FOREVER!FILTER FOREVER!FILTER FOREVER!FILTER FOREVER!FILTER FOREVER!FILTER FOREVER!FILTER FOREVER!FILTER FOREVER!FILTER FOREVER!FILTER FOREVER!FILTER FOREVER!FILTER FOREVER!FILTER FOREVER!FILTER FOREVER!FILTER FOREVER!FILTER FOREVER!FILTER FOREVER!FILTER FOREVER!FILTER FOREVER!

  • @Grindermetalhead did you even listen to the whole album? guess you just heard the auto tune and got pissed about it, because some shitty "musicians" use that. richard is an awesome singer, if you'd listen to the whole album you'd know that. every song tells it's own story. there is heavy stuff, there is soft stuff, just like a record should be.

why do you even care that much about filter? just ignore them if you don't like 'em and let others enjoy the music, because it's great.

  • @Grindermetalhead

P.S. douche bag. NB is working it's ass off to drop all your favorite death metal bands. No one wants to hear that shit anymore.

  • @Grindermetalhead

    1. Nuclear Blast is no longer a metal Label. They are trying to change their image because "totally extreme death/hair metal" doesn't fucking sell anymore. This is a fact. I have insider knowledge. I'm right. Fuck you.

    2. Filter never has been or claimed to be a "Metal" band. They are a melodic Industrial/alt. band from the 90's. Plain and simple. This goes for anyone who is butt hurt because an alternative band is now on Nuclear Blast. Filter is just the first of many.

  • @techdrumz Nothing sells anymore, dumbass. Everything's being downloaded these days. NB is digging it's own grave by screwing over their fans who supported them throughout years and becoming more mainstream because mainstream crap's being downloaded too. They need to realize that within a couple years albums will simply become promo-material for tours. Real money is in concert tickets and metal bands can sell just ass much tickets as pansies like Filter, Indica & Sonic Syndicate.

  • @Grindermetalhead

    *as much

  • @Grindermetalhead Record sales have meant nothing to bands financially for about a decade now. Your right. It IS all about concerts and merch. People have heard of Filter. No one has heard of those other two bands. Thus, the decision made by NB. Filter also opens up for bands like STP and Buckcherry. Next month: Bush. Again no one care about Sonic whatever or Indaca. They will never sell out an arena and I've never seen their shirts at hot topic. So there ya go. Metal bands = broke record labels

  • @Grindermetalhead ...unless it's Korn or Slipknot (with a new bass player?). Also Hellyeah and Drowning Pool are doing great. So is Sevendust. Also, you should know that I work in this business and actually know the people in the bands I just mentioned. I work with NB people and I can tell you, bands like Filter are taking over that label and the rest are being dropped. I'm not just a speculating fan. I'm right....about pretty much everything. Kiss your bands goodbye.

  • @techdrumz Dude WTF are you talking about? NB's metal bands are some of the greatest names in metal. Extreme metal made a comeback during the last decade and is now stronger than ever. Wacken is attended by tens of thousands metalheads each year. European metal bands are making a breakthrough on US market.

You never heard of any real metal bands because you're not into that kind of music, not because those bands are a bunch of nobodies.

  • True, extreme metal may not be a not a huge market like corporate rock is but it's what made NB what it is today. They had a constant growth during the last 2 decades thanks to loyal metalheads who supported them, so they eventually thought they can compete with major labels for their share of mainstream music market.

  • That's the main reason they're signing commercial crap these days. Not because no one wants to hear extreme metal anymore.

But I think they are biting more than they can chew and reality will eventually come back around and bite their assess.

  • @Grindermetalhead Way to miss the point dude. I happen to LOVE heavy metal. There will always be a strong fan base for it. HOWEVER, it will never sell as much as bands like Papa Roach, Filter, Buckcherry... Not on a world wide scale at least. This si why NB is signing bands like that. You mentioned somthing about "tens of thousands." Sure, thats a lot of fans. Good for them. Bands like Filter play festivals at soccer stadiums that hold 100,000 and the fan base world wide is into the millions.

  • @Grindermetalhead One thing I've learned from touring all over the world with all types of bands is that fan boys like yourself generally know nothing about this business or the bands that you listen too. It's kinda funny. The truth is, those washed up nu-metal bands are selling out stadiums all over the fucking planet every day while your hair/death/black metal bands are lucky to land second stage at Ozzfest. You honestly can't be surprised.

  • @Grindermetalhead AND STOP FUCKING ARGUING WITH ME. I WORK IN THIS BUSINESS, I'M FRIENDS WITH (AND TOUR WITH) MANY OF THE BANDS WE'RE TALKING ABOUT AND I CAN TELL YOU FOR A FACT THAT YOU ARE WRONG ABOUT PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING. YOU SOUND LIKE A FUCKING IDIOT. GIVE UP AND GO AWAY. DEATH METAL NUCLEAR BLAST IS DEAD. THIS IS THE LAST TIME IM GONNA TELL YOU. IF YOU WISH TO EXCHANGE MORE WORDS, COME TO HOLLYWOOD SO I CAN DESTROY YOU TO YOUR FACE. GOODBYE. I'M DONE WITH YOUR SHIT.

  • @techdrumz Put the business up your ass you sellout! I'm arguing for integrity and quality here. You must feel really proud of yourself for being a fucking corporate puppet?

  • @Grindermetalhead Like FILTER, I belong to Indie labels. Also I'd only be selling out if I wasent a fan of the bands I work for. If I don't like the music I don't do the gig. No one pays THAT well. Remember when I said that fans like you are wrong about everything that goes on in the music biz? That's still the case moron.

  • @techdrumz Listen fuckface, I already knew that Nuclear Blast is selling out and I've noticed that they've been signing crappy commercial bands lately. I've been following their work for years. It's not like you said anything new to me.

  • You argued from the start that the fact that NB is signing radio friendly, commercial crap and dumping extreme metal bands is some sort of victory for you and loss for me and all I've been trying to put through to you is that you are just a fucking drone and a typical consumer, who bases his taste on the popularity and commercial appeal of the band instead of actual quality.

  • And no one would even give two fucks about Filter if that guy wasn't in Nine Inch Nails?

That is the main reason they made it big. It has nothing to do with the quality, originality or talent.

  • @Grindermetalhead if i really like a band and wanna support them i´m gonna by their album !! for me its a shame these people who think they´re fans and download every album from favorite band. but i have to say the prices for LP´s are fucked up at this time...

  • New hit album? Shouldnt it at least be available for listening if they are going to call it a hit?

  • @ImBradMusic - yeah, its been out for weeks and is available for free listening all over the internet. Perhaps if you were to look for it?

  • "why should people get off their asses and buy the new album?"...... charity.

  • Oh yes, he will pissing people off, he such a rebel...

  • @Grindermetalhead - if that "Antitheist" crap on your channel is any indication what you think "real metal" is, then your taste came straight out of your ass. Id tell you to go back to the 80s and stay there, but it looks like you were in diapers for most of that decade. Then again, that's probably the best age mindset for the kind of braindead music you like, so maybe its appropriate afterall. Go off and bang your head some more, junior, maybe you can shake your fucking brain into place.

  • @cinemavirtualis well, person, he is kinda right. this band isn't 'metal'. "Filter (Stylized as FILTER) is an alternative rock group formed in 1993...", courtesy of wikipedia.

  • @cinemavirtualis

    Lol.

Dude, aren't you a bit too old to act like a butt-hurt little fan-boy?

Btw, thanks for checking out my homemade demo.

I fucking love your subterranean shorts too.

  • @Grindermetalhead - Id rather be a fan of something with meaning to my own self (like the music of Filter) than to be a fan of mindless dime a dozen death metal regurgitations. More power to you or anyone else on whatever genre of music gets you off, but dont throw stones at other musicians and then get touchy when one of their fans pitches them back at you. If your band had fans, Im sure theyd do the same for you. lol

Glad you liked the shorts I made, and the music on them. :)

  • @cinemavirtualis

You do realize that great deal of bands on this label use those "regurgitations" as vocals?

Nuclear Blast is an extreme metal record label (or at least it used to be until lately) and many of us who practically grew up listening to NB's bands don't take kindly to their latest trend of signing pussified bands, like these pansies that you seem to be into. NB is screwing over young and talented metal bands by signing non-metal bands.

  • And maybe these clowns do possess some redeeming features about them, that simply got buried deep beneath the auto-tuned vocals and generic, over-produced, over-simplistic music, but the fact of the matter is that they do not play metal and they do not belong on NB.

  • The problem with your argument is, I dont give two shits about what label released the new Filter album, or what vapid Euro black metal albums you and your peers grew up on in the 90s. So that's the real reason for your whining about the new Filter album, because it was released on your beloved death metal music label? How weak. The label obviously needs someone with a little more depth to their music than Lars from Norway screaming out tonelessly about having sex with a fuckin corpse, lol.

  • @cinemavirtualis Please don't make me laugh! If you believe that NB signed these bozos for their depth then you're a fool, because their music is deep as a puddle.

They signed them because of their commercial appeal and because they already have an established fan-base of people who's taste in music doesn't venture beyond corporate rock, so NB doesn't have to promote them as much.

It's a pure business move, just like signing Sonic Syndicate, Indica and all the other crap they signed lately was.

  • @Grindermetalhead - Spare me ... you think that idiotic crotch rot death metal noise that you idolize is "deep" somehow? Id hate to ask what sort of things in your life inspire you as "deep", at least before dinner. See, Filter has "commercial appeal" because their music has real meaning to many people's lives, like those who can feel dark anger and light joy both in life, as opposed to people with a juvenile death fetish. "Fanboy" indeed (since you're obviously alot close to boyhood than me).

  • @cinemavirtualis

You want deep? Death metal is at least a dozen times more complex and technical than that overproduced drivel. Playing with such proficiency takes years of dedication.

It's not just noise. It's some of the most complex music ever created.

And are you saying that metal has no real meaning to many people's lives?

    Ever heard of metalheads?

If you think you can discredit an entire subculture by throwing out few ignorant stereotypes then you obviously don't know shit about metal.

  • @Grindermetalhead - Yeah, Ive heard of "metalheads", son. I was one of them back then it meant Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Scorpions, ACDC, etc, before guys like you were born and grew up and starting obsessing on corpse fucking music (ooo such rebels). You sure do get snippy when someone bashes YOUR music, dont ya? Fuckin hypocrite. Youre the one who is incessantly trolling a Filter posting looking for arguments, not vice versa. You must feel you have a case to prove. Get a better lawyer.

  • @Grindermetalhead I take that back. I just threw a bunch of ad-homs at another one of you guys. :)

  • @cinemavirtualis ACDC Metal? AHAHAHAHA. no.

  • @Grindermetalhead You failed musician you. Your a fucking looser that has never made it. At least Filter has a ton of platinum albums in the collection from Millions of albums and cd's they've sold you jew killing serb piece of shit. How does your mothers Gunt taste?

    * fat women's fleshy cunt

  • @richardzaqxsw I'm playing guitar because I enjoy it, you moron. It's a hobby, not a career. And since when did record sale became the measure of quality?

Britney Spears outsold Filter by millions of records. Is her shit any better for it?

Btw, Serbs fought against Nazis in WW2 you ignorant fuck.

  • @Grindermetalhead Ewwwwww I most have really stuck a nerve! We all know your Borat! Hahahahahaha faggot. ENVY much! shit head from Kyrgyzstan! FUCK METAL! FILTER FOREVER!
