well hopkins vs calzaghe was a close fight. calzaghe won base on work rate...i felt hopkins landed cleaner punches...just fewer. it's worth a rematch but calzaghe won't do it...nor would I after seeing what he did to pavlik. no way i get in the ring with a guy like hopkins who's riding "high" of that win looking for revenge from a close loss.

Everyone reading Pav comments know I called Pav to win KO4. Admittedly I was Wrong! Taking NOTHING away from Bhop who I love, but Pav did not fight well this night. He was sluggish at best. I've never seen him this bad. I don't believe Bhop made him look bad with superior boxing ability. I think Pav was not good that night. Sorry. He never jabbed that way before and I've seen 11 of his fights. Now I bel Jack Loew might've not prepared well in assessing BHop. I've seen Bhop better before no joke.
No one really gets to fight their best fight against Bhop. Calzaghe said he wasnt his best etc I think that Hopkins experience makes people not look very good in there with him, he doesnt let you fight your fight, he dissects your style making it a weakness, straight up he just showed how slow Pavlik is and that he relies on catching people with the right, thats all he brings to the table when hops in the ring. Hel get better with experience though hes still young

Turns out there's a lot more to it than that when it comes to his opponent's punch of choice.

He's not racist. He offered to take Pavlik to the gym after the fight and was generally a good sport about winning.
He thought he won the fight against calzaghe, so he's probably just pissed about that. All that talk about beating a white boy was to sell tickets.

Not supposed to happen when you fight a 44 year old.
Pavlik might want to think about cutting back on the beer and getting in shape if he's gonna fight the greats.

I would say that in part the way Pavlik slowed down at 170 made Hopkins look so dominating.However,BHop put in a stellar performance for the ages.
