my brother almost died in a car crash while drinking. he was in the passenger seat. He was 17. I'm 11. When ever I do something good or have a higher GPA, I feel like its wrong because my parents like me more then my brother. I almost lost my brother on the last day of summer. I cry every night. My world revolves around him and he almost died. Again, I'm a 11 year old girl. I was thinking of giving up. But music helped with the pain. music is one of the best things that happened to me.

i relizw this song is about losing a little girl but two of my close friends, no my brothers...they have died recently one was hit by a drunk driver, His name was chris. 14 he didnt have a chance at life. The other comited suicide. Yesterday was the 11th anniversary of my adopted brother's sister's death. She got hit by a car walking home from school. Her school was just like a mile up the road from her house. She had to cross the road and the cars on the road were in such a hurry to get to where they were going. One ending up running her over. Her parents wanted her home right after school and they got worried when she didn't come and went out to look for her and found her dead on the side of the road. She was only 13! :(

I loved this! This song in general can minister to sooo many on so many levels of loss. I have many friends that have lost in child birth, miscarriages, and some through abortions in their past..... Sometimes closure is hard to find, but through Christ, He can heal our wounds and fill our loss with His love and grace. It's things like this song that can help us cry and heal.

@kech66 Bella is an amazing movie about a guy who, (when he was a famous soccer player in his twenties) killed a little girl accidentally in a car crash and went to jail, which halted his fame. Later, (when he's around 30-40) his friend is pregnant, and she wants to get an abortion, and he says he'll take the child and raise it. She finally agrees after learning his past, and the end is a wonderful scene where he's playing with his little girl. :) It's on instant queue on Netflix, check it out!!

this reminds me of what my adopted brother had to go through! When he was like 2 hours old, his mom got cancer in her lungs and livers! She appeared to have had 11 tumors. 7 in her lungs and 4 in her liver! And he got to love his sister just as much as his parents and she past away at the age of 13 leaving only her brother and Dad behind! I'm sure he would appreciate prayer.

I know the real meaning behind the song but it has a special meaning to me. I lost my beautiful daughter 10 years ago on April 2nd, 2001. She was 25 at the time, of domestic violence. I made a lot of mistakes as a parent, so this song has a special place in my heart.. Her name was LaRhonda. Thank you so much Skillet.

If you look up the story behind this yes Lucy was an aborted baby, but the parents bought a casket and headstone and a plot and held a funeral so it does fit with the story and the song.

It's never easy. Miscarriage or abortion. I have to think of it as my daughter and or sons were born later because I was still a kid, so one of them came a little later .I really thought the little girl in the song died from cancer....I am still sorry for your loss.
