  • why not just boil the kettle and throw an egg in there, after make your self a cup of tee. lol

  • So that egg wasn't cooked solid? Interesting. I've never eaten an egg that's partially cooked and still in it's shell, but I will now.

  • @Ryantravisaol You never had a dippy egg and soldiers as a kid?

  • @thatguywiththeegg No, I never have, but I shall give it a try!

  • how can the length of how to boil an egg be 3:20 if the how to make tiramisu video is 1:33

  • @bretellen exactly my thoughts lol. well, he did all the asparagus stuff first though. but i remember stumbling upon something in Julia Child's "The Art of Mastering French Cuisine" where you kind of have to be meticulous on boiling an egg. A "perfect" boiled egg has to be liquid in the center and should taste like "melted cheese" according to her. So arguably there's more chemistry in boiling an egg than meets the eye.

    Cheers!

  • How long did you blanch the asparagus?

  • How to boil an egg. Seriously?

  • your a chef naaaaaa way

  • this is something so basic... i dont know why im watching this.....

  • its just a boiled egg with asperagus nothing great has been done0.o

  • Good tips and technique, but how is this have a full lunch?

  • @atami210 It's no American full lunch, that would entail 3 Big Macs and super superized fries with a big diet coke :p

  • @supercooled

    1. I am Canadian so I have no clue what an American full lunch would be, but I am guessing it is properly what you said except with regular coke.

    2. Here, a lunch is more typically a sandwich of some sort of...3 sticks of asparagus and an egg is more like breakfast.

  • @supercooled I am an American... I agree with you. My country is full of fat asses. But I hate McDonald's and I have the same opinion as you.

  • @supercooled True, but time to go back and look at the obesity trends in your country too. You guys (I am assuming you're a Brit) are going to catch up with us right quick.

  • @sweaterman08 whoops. Canadian. Sry.

  • @sweaterman08 Yes, I'm Canadian and I'm fighting the bulge. Comes in part with aging and added responsibility of growing up, but that's a crutch and an excuse. I've taken a long (may be not long enough but it's a start) look at myself and have taken measured steps to do something about it. It's like an addiction, only when you acknowledge the problem can you find a solution.

  • @sweaterman08 Sadly the trend is very epidemic. Well, there are some parts of the world where it hasn't encroached but by and large, we're all getting fatter. It's all about personal accountability whether you're a Big Mac eating American or Ethiopian wafer struggling to find enough to eat. It's an absurd analogy but hopefully you understood the message conveyed.

  • after watching the video tutorial on making the perfect bacon sammich, (which took 2 weeks or so) i was kind of expecting them to start this tutorial with the baby chicks...lol! ;)

  • how long do you cook the asparagus? what heat level?

  • @selfgen In case the guys at 4food don't answer you:

Try to cook it for 2–3,5 minutes, depending on the thickness of it (it should be a bit al dente in the middle). Make sure that you "undercook it" since it will keep cooking when you put it in the butter and even after.

What heat level? Just make sure it's boiling; as long as it's in the water it wont go beyond a 100 degrees.

A tip: use considerably more salt in the boiling water and a little less afterwards, compared to Gill.
