+Best back aerial in the game, and generally awesome aerial game in general.

+Great ledge game

+Hyper armor during second jump

+Quick, and floaty, while stilling being a heavy weight

+ Yoshi bomb. Good anti-air, can kill at decent percentages, and pushes opponents on the ground back with the stars.

+Grapple can chaingrab, good range, and pivot grab has no lag.

@SoulPech Wario should be able to escape with pivot grab by biking or jumping or even his Up B (Of course that is asking to be regrabbed)

For one year ago Yoshi was completely overrated. Saying stupid things like Yoshi being counter of Meta Knight. MK can survive the grab release into spike due how epic recovery he has and how weak Yoshi's fair spike is. MK also has far better moveset than Yoshi. Same with Wario, because he CAN avoid grabs. Wario's range isn't really a problem due his air movement. The matchup isn't 40-60 Yoshi at all. It's a very old discussion. It's probably 55/45-60/40 Wario's favour with infinite.

Also, BS that yoshi's grab is short, it has the longest range in the game, and while the running grab may lag if missed it's still totally viable, and there's also the pivot grab for a lagless grab.

You people are talking about yoshi as if he was in melee...He doesn't have ONLY the chaingrab and pivot grabs, he has an amazing aerial game almost second to none, can combo like a demon, his up-b recovery wise now gives him almost top horizontal recovery and is waaaay better than some others' recoveries, not to mention his advanced stuff.

Yes, my Wario friend got chain grabbed at a tourney, so we tried it out, confirmed it was a chain grab and that the Wario does not have time to jump out of getting grabbed again, so I made this video. Try it out yourself.

What you don't realize is the grab-release mechanic is different in Brawl, and you can't hold up to jump out if they're constantly jab-grabbing you. CCG is unstoppable.

It's so sad how two of my favorite characters (and my exmain Lucas) are screwed up by infinite chain grabbing.

Hopefully in the next SSB, they remove all types of chain grabbing (or at least have a chain grab limit that can't be worked around by players).

Wouldn't you escape if you dodge? :/ Press L or R? I've tried it with my sister doing Yoshi's grabs but she press R and she escaped it, or maybe the my timing of the grab wasn't good.

Can't you just move out of the way when Yoshi throws you in the air or is it just like that for Wario?

There is no throw to DI; it is the choke release animation, which you can't do anything about until a certain point, and so based on where that puts the opponent, and the grab range of your character, you can do this in at least these two circumstances.

That's what I originally thought as well, but if they are constantly grab-jabbing you in Brawl, you CAN'T hold up to get the jump-out animation, you only get the same one, making this possible.
