  • Awesome!!! go see Michael Zhang!!! just search Michael Zhang 12 years old to watch!!!

  • M O N E Y

  • i watch this two days ago and had to watch the shoot out from when they jumped over the wall i wish mark was there

  • I just love how they are all locked and loaded, then they walk and are all like "Ok, let's kill some people"

But I'm guessing they knew they were not coming out alive so might as well...

  • @1MrDonCarlos1 What makes you think they're not coming out alive? :D

  • Wtf, is this whole movie a music video?!?!

  • this old hong kong cantonese version is way way way better than the new korean version. this version has better action and more intense and fighting scenes. the new korean version is horrible, and poor fight scenes, and it's too girly and dramatic. the new korean version is more of a drama than an action movie.

  • @dianthusboy Korea is famous for it's drama. K-drama..... some of the best drama in the world. You watch Tae-guk-gi? Similar to Saving Private Ryan. But it is Korean, thus, K-drama, it really brings you in. Don't diss a Korean film for what their signature grasp on cinematography are.

  • @SexyWhiteKorean yes, i saw Tae-Guk-Gi already. I even have the dvd. In English, that movie is called "Brotherhood" it's a good movie because Won Bin is in it. I think that if Won Bin is not in that movie, it would not have turned out great. Tae-Guk-Gi is a good war movie but Hong Kong also made some way way way better war movie too. i think korea makes better and creep love dramas and gay movies. GAY MOVIES ARE SO POPULAR IN KOREA NOW BECAUSE SO MANY GAY KOREANS ARE COMING OUT.

  • @SexyWhiteKorean this is a korean drama movie... Oh baby im dying... oh ho hoh so sad okay the end. A chinese Drama. Oh no we are seperated by heaven and earth we'll do whatever it takes to be together.

  • I WANT TO KNOW THE NAME OF THIS SONG EVEN THO ITS IN CANTONESE.

  • チョウ・ユンファ若いなぁ

  • you can not compare thiz kind of movie to any other moviez.... it'z a gift to any one who haz viewed it... i've seen all Chow Yun Fat'z moviez butiz clear there will never be and never will replace any of HK Action moviez.

  • does anyone know if there is creepy music in this film? iv been told the old murder mystery suspense film trailer music could be on this film ??if u can help id appriciate it cheers

  • this isn't part 1.. is more than half of the movie=.=

  • @leohkp

He probably means that it's first part, of the epic shoot-out, at the end. On that note, I thank the original poster for posting it.

  • chow yun fat makes wearing a black long trenchcoat as something cool :P

  • i've watched this movie over 500 times. its like a theatricl display of the HK underworld. you are drawn to it. it consumes you. although its far from reality, it becomes real as you watch it. greatest film in history. it makes you root for the badguy. but on a lighter side, notice at 4:00 into this clip, they show uncle lung leap over the wall (the guy in the middle) is it me or does it look like he went too perpendicular and in the actual filming, he probably fell on his face? haha..

  • Despite what a lot of people may think about it, this is one of my favorite Woo movies. That any director would make a movie this tight even though he didn't even want to make it in the first place is the sign of a true master.

Now if only he toned down the rice scene and the scene with the oranges...

  • Comment removed

  • Watched this awesome scene many times, never understood how uncle Lung lands on his feet when they jump over the wall though :)

  • @anysadegs What I don't understand is how Kit's brother jumps over without touching the wall at all.

  • 그냥 感動 눈물나네

  • Two things: In this version, the original gunfire and explosion sound effects have been overdubbed, so that's why it sounds a bit off. Secondly, the song is 奔向未來日子 by 張國榮 (Leslie Cheung). Fantastic finale for a great movie.

  • I think this is part II

  • this isn'tt the begining...

    I'm confused... ????

  • @SaphiraPorter It's actually the first part of the end of the movie. :D

  • 3 people who dislikes this don't like rice... T.T

  • no no no no SORRyyy.... LOL

  • cult-gibbotta.webs.com join my heroic bloodshed comunity today

  • Chow Yun-Fat started the Timberland craze.

  • Those security guards didn't even stand a chance! And does anyone know the name of the song at the beggining? Very powerful moment.

  • @1MrDonCarlos1 it DOES sound totally epic in context of the movie, but it's actually a love song. Love songs end up sounding pretty epic for hong kong movies. Sorry, I don't know the name of it, but it's sung by Leslie Cheung (the cop brother that dies).

  • 双枪才是男人的浪漫啊啊!

  • What I love about Chow Yun-Fat in the ABT movies is that he isn't the lead character - but he IS the interesting guy of the bunch AND the most bad-ass of them all. I like that.

  • @HarpoTheVillain: I agree completely, it's just a shame (for me) that this movie has the whole twin brother plot twist to keep chow yun fat in the movie, i mean the melodrama is always to be taken with a grain of salt, but i took the movie less seriously cuz of it, only cuz of mark's death scene in ABT1

  • @skumar8 It is a little stupid, yeah, and maybe I would have accepted the twist if it was elaborated more on. Like, why does Ken act, dress and fight the same way as Mark in the showdown at the end? Did they even know each other? I'm a huve CYF fan, so I'd accept anything. Instead we get this...ah well.

  • @HarpoTheVillain Of course they knew each other, at the beginning of the movie there are guys in Ken's restaurant copying Mark's style, and also the old man who keeps Mark's things knows him too, and he says he was a King of Diamond Hill there (whatever that is) before he went to USA. The only unconvincing part is that Sung Tse-Ho haven't seen him before and he was so close with Mark.

  • John Woo should go back to Hong Kong and make another Better Tomorrow - finish the series right. Number 3 wasn't made by him and had nothing to do with the first two, and that never sat right with me personally...

  • @CommendatoreAndolini There's Bullet In The Head.

  • @06pag Which was great in its own right, but ABT needs to be tied off properly I reckon. Even if the actors/characters are now 20 years older!

  • @CommendatoreAndolini You mean a sequel? But there's no one left to kill. And Kit is dead too.

  • @06pag I just don't think number 3 does the first two any justice and Woo should have a crack at making a third, however convoluted/ludicrous the plot, with or without Kit.

  • i always loved this movie! this is how asian do it back in the days.

  • Too bad there's the all Dean Shek story, it's ruining the movie !

  • @LFCRyo No, the movie is great just the way it is.

  • give chow yun fat a gun and he is superman, give him 2 and he is god!

  • 6:00

    ありゃ火薬の量を間違えてるな。今度から気を付けよう。

  • Infinity Ammo + 1 FTW

  • 4:42

lol I thought it was a revolver at first.

  • 1:28

Did Ho just hallucinate that the dude was Kit?

  • @UberBen56 Yes, he did.

  • His brother goes for revenge after his brother the cop played by Tong leung dies from his wounds and chow plays the Ken the twin who was killed in prt 1 ..

  • @colintraveller

Hey Bozo, it's LESLIE CHEUNG not Tony Leung.

Your zip is wide open to the public. Owned. *sigh*

  • i need to buy this on dvd man just love it

  • CHow yun fat is fuckinn COOL MAN!!!

  • love the shotgun sound! so 80's love it!

  • The music definitely acts as a powerful part to the movie scenes. John Woo is one hell of a director. I hope his adaptation of the Tom Clancy Rainbow Six is like this.

  • the power of music.. its so strong, whats the song btw really want to know abt it! <3

  • Love it

  • Best movie and music!!!!!! ㅠㅠ

  • My most beloved scene 5:47-5:53

Chow's face was so funny when the

explosion nearly got to him. And later

on... 6:18 is even more funny...

"No no no no... sor... leee (sorry)..." XD

  • I am japanese.

    It yearned.

  • uuummm dude its chineese!

  • Chow yun fat is once again slick and stylish in this shootout scence. it almost reminds one of the resturant shootout in the 1st movie. Though the other two lads do seem a bit rushed and unchoreographed .

  • ha ha, look how he kept tossing him grenades, slight humor like that is hard to see in modern movies, damn... he deserved every dollar payed to him.

  • great jonh hoo the best

    chown you fat

jet li and bruce lee too

iam fan of chines movie and action

  • This, its prequel, The Killer, and Hard Boiled are definitely all my favourite films by John Woo!!!!!

  • nonononono~~~~~solly~~~~~

    haha that was funny

  • For being a 22 years old movie i still love it. John Woo's movies is filled with action, love and friendship. Im just love this movie.

  • The scene when all three of them leap over the wall where Kit had to climb over after he got shot is so powerful.. like they are going in and to finish the job.

  • Anyone have a link to the song in the first half?

  • damn is that powerful.....a man dying as a baby is born....the begginning and end....knowledge wisdom understanding....peace great film!

  • un vrai bain de sang se film

  • my favorite movie ever

  • Definitely the golden era of HK cinema.

  • I haven't heard so many people going "AIYA~~" after getting shot for a long while

  • It is good, I know.

    Great HK movie.

  • I also love this movie and song.............

  • It's an awesome film trilogie !

    Watch it.

    John woo rocks !

The last scene is so hilarous hahaha

  • I love the theme song for a better tomorrow 2

  • Same here, I'm looking for a copy of it, can't find it though.

  • SAD

  • They really don't make them like they used to, anymore.

  • I love this movie

  • are these same characters as the BT original? thought Chow died.

  • He end up playing the twin brother from America

  • Man that guy on the left jumped the whole thing.

  • The house shootout was fucking amazing

because Chow Yun Fat and his partners

tear down that house so bad that the bad guys could'nt shoot straight, 5 stars for this bloodfest, and ben part 2 was the best too.

  • now this is a fucking film.gotta love john woo

  • I love the a better tomorrow II theme song. I learn to sing the theme song of a better tomorrow I when I was just 8 years old

  • 3:19 to 3:22 wasnt he the guy who made jackie chan's life miserable in the drunken master?

  • Typical John Woo film.. overuse of guns and shootouts, but nicely done!

  • John Woo pretty much only acknowledges this last scene as his work of this movie.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • you cant overuse guns and shootouts

  • i will misss u leslie cheung...

    :(

  • i bet he was like are you crazy when he got the grenades

  • how many grenades did he get

  • i didnt like the third either. it was okay as a movie but sucks when compared to 1 and 2.

  • wth. all the bodyguards are useless. so many guns oso cnt kill one person..

  • movies back then the good guys are always in shootouts against like 100 enemies with infinite bullets, its still fun to watch haha

  • this is like DBZ but instead of goku with fireballs killing 10000 ppl its chow yun fat with guns

  • in dbz ppl can always ocme bak to life this movie ppl cant

  • what's up with some of the gun sounds? they sound like they were dubbed over the orginal sounds; can't place where they come from, they sound familiar...

  • they sound like there from Counter strike right

  • No subs?

    How disappointing...

  • Ce film est une bombe nucléaire.

  • you, such a digusting jerk. You really made me sick. Now I have nightmare of you filthy face. Everytime when I think of you fucking face, I will definately flow up. You bastard, have made yourself a clown as chinese to western people.

  • i dont get this is this the sequal or prequal?? if its the sequal how come chows stil lalive and if its the prequal how come his brothers dead??

  • lol,its a sequal, although its still chow yun fat, hes playing the dead guy's twin brother.

  • Mark in the first ABT and Ken in ABT2.

  • "Give Chow Yun-Fat a gun, and he's superman. Give him two, and he's God!"

  • so many noob duno shot 1

  • i tot mark(chow yun fatt) is dead in the first episode .. weird.. zzz

  • This isnt mark its

    "Ayyyy KEEEEEENNNNNNNNN"

  • wow ken is alot crazier and funnier than emo mark lol

  • What happened is Kit had become a full fledged detective and was shot during an invesstigation,, he calls ho wit his last breath. Chow Yun Fat plays Marks twin brother, Ken. the rest of the movie is ho and ken going on revenge

  • but uh,, you skipped the first half of the movie

  • his brother died!!!????

I thought this one is the second prequal to the very first film.....

his brother is alive in the very first film when after Mark Go is released from prison...

  • How come nobody feels like wearing bulletproof jackets?

  • damn man let me ride with yall

  • hahaha this country that you soon says to be of third world soon will be a world-wide power idiotic... stuped

  • Wow. Chow yun fat kill men more than an atomic bomb!

  • I dont get it in the first movie chow yun fat supossed to be dead and his friend went to jail and his brothers lives on not died

  • haha this is Ken; twin brother of Mark. You got it? They didn't expect the movie is big hit of the box office. This is how they bring chow yun fat alive.

  • Really Huh thats funny I thought it was like an alternate ending or something thanx for clearing that up.

  • A better tomorow 3 sucks... 1 and 2 are Super Good, cool movies

  • I agree!

  • this part was revengeful and sad

but i love this movie alot!!!!!

  • Or a Russian that does not know how a Satellite Dish works, or even how to install one. In America, there are tons of people who have Cable, which is way more reliable than using a dish.

  • I LOVE THESE MOVIES!!!!

  • This is the best of the trilogy.

  • I like part 2 best as well, but the first 1 is brilliant also, haven't seen part 3 yet =(

  • part 3 is the prequel of the trilogy sorta sucks though

  • Oh I didn't know that, too bad it sucks, i've seen bits of it but only in Chinese so I dind't know what was going on. But i'll still see it cos I love Chow Yun-Fat

  • philip su 123

Every one of A Better Tomorrow is the greatest.

  • Yes,this is the best part in a better tomorrow II (1987).Guys who knows the background music title at the beginning of the shooting part?.That piece of background music is my favourite music of the three better tomorrow series.

  • Those movies are the best!!! theyre on ´Tv in my country now =D

  • i think the "Gearing up" for war is also a great staple of a good John Woo Movie. loading up and getting ready to go is really cool. John Woo is ahead of his time with action movies. to this day no one other than himself can make a good action movie now.

  • 20 YEARS AGO now and movie john's woo is better

  • Part 2 is the best of the Better Tommorow Trilogy

  • I fucking love that movie

  • kickass!

  • NEEDS SUBTITLES! But apart from that, very good, 5 stars for you! :D

  • i cry everytime i see this movie;_;

  • One of Woo's best action scenes!
