  • Jeb freaking rules

  • Jeb is awesome but now i wish i didnt quit m job, i wanted to start a life like his but now i am just a hobo who is sitting in Starbucks typing on another guy's (who is in the batheroom) computer.. :'(

  • Does anyone know where I can find this full interview?

  • Amen

  • Its called being a zombie.

  • tru dat

  • insane def. accually is repeating the same thing expecting different results so ya part true bro

  • Yes, I agree its insane, but unfortunately for most of us mortals thats the only choice we have...............

  • now, this is a real prophet talking... fuck my job, I quit!

  • It's true but the sad part is we can't change it and he's being a **** for not being in the system as well but letting everyone else do it for him.

  • @KemiiSu Why is he a ****? Because he lives his life doing what he loves? Sounds to me like some one is a little bit green with envy and just a little bit resentful about their own life.....

  • @jonelle414 No but he is pinning down us for all being zombies, but life isnt just that easy.

  • @KemiiSu yes it is. you just cant see it, your stuck in a system you agree to be stuck in, life is easy if you really want it to be, most people just dont have what it takes to abandon the system we live in and enjoy living instead of working 9-5..... what a waste of a life living like that, 9-5 every day 5 days a week, fuck that!!!

  • @jonelle414 it sure is a waste of life, but it is for the better. You can't just simply jump out, the system doesn't work like that. I do think it's a fucked up system but there's no point in running, it's too far lost already. So that's why I get annoyed by people telling us what to do, when they simply walk away ignorantly.

  • @KemiiSu Incredible that in every blog or comment list there are always morons who don't get even the simplest of messages.

  • ah, let's quit our jobs and... skydive for free the rest of our lives?

  • Hahah wt fis this dude on about? He was born with a friggin silver spoon up his fucking arse

  • not trying to pull a gem here, but they must have missed the like button

  • who the fuck didn't like this

  • Jeb, makes a rational assessment about life.He knows his limits to his sport and pushes as close as possible.

  • The question is:

    Who defines crazy?

    Leonardo Da Vinci,Edison and Einstein

    were all dyslexic.

Maybe there's something wrong with the

    "NORMAL" people!

    {*~*}

  • man thats so true...

  • Wow, this guy really hit the nail on the head.

  • fuck... I wish I had a different life...

  • @8Julius8 change it

  • i Agree ! but why he is so mad ? haha

  • who's interviewing?

  • I don't really like Jeb's temprament (judging from the interviews I've seen on line, although he has archieved tons) but this is utterly spot on.

  • jeb, you are a fucken wanker. what would you know about the real world. it's fine to spit shit like this when you have a rich step-father. but seriously, just fuck off.

  • dude stop being a hater.

  • @5keletor Have you made ANY steps towards living the dream? save up some money, go skydiving, see where you wanna go from there. I know about the real world, i also know that i preffer to spend my time rockclimbing, alpine climbing, skydiving and soon to be BASE jumping. Pursue happyness dude :)

  • Haha, he's so right, and if you were sane when you started doing it, you won't be for long.

  • Or you can join the USAF (AIR FORCE). And become a Pararescue.

  • This is exactly what I always thought. But then what does he do for a living for ends meat?

  • @krazy1luv He's famous so he probably get around. =)

For us normal ppl, I think it's important to have some other dream besides working/tv/sleeping, of course one has to make an income somehow but one shouldn't let it consume one's life.

  • lol damnit im stuck with a kinda normal life this shit suxx i wanna base jump!!!!!

  • lol

  • Exactly Man!!!

    Namaste!

  • soooo true !!! ;]

  • haha he knows it!

  • he's soo right! alot of people would want to do things like this before they die. he has

  • This man is absolutely right!

Paying taxes that your government can rescue Banks!

    Totally idiotic!

  • Amen to that, normal life is fucking boring.

  • eso es contra lo que trato de luchar.. yeaa

  • Damn straight man ;)

  • thats true!

  • couldnt agree more, (Niall 13)

  • do you have ads? this kid Ill

  • lol @ her face

  • JEB- Bro. I could not agree more! I work in a "box" but I LIVE outside it. You inspire me man. I feel the only way to break free is to continue seeking that thrill, and adventure, the thing we love the most. I have seen the video of Dwain and Im sorry for your loss, but the fact that you understand the potential risk and approach the sport with so much love and respect is truly awesome.

    Rock on.

    -Drew

  • Its all about what path you take and what makes your soul tick. For some people sitting in a box all day is their lifetime achievment and they are just as proud as Jeb is with his chosen path. There is no wrong way, right way or crazy way,.. its all in the mind body and soul.

Basically we live im truly privelleged times to be able to travel the world & jump off cliffs. It will be my career and lifetime achievemnt.

Live long and live hard people,

    1. 2. 3. see ya

  • Without the people that "sit in a box all day" Jeb wouldn't be able to BASE jump as much as he does. Every Industry in the world relies on full time workers that contribute to everything you see around you. How would he fly overseas to jump off buildings if it weren't for full-time airline workers? How would he have gotten medical treatment for the waterfall incident if it weren't for "crazy" doctors and nurses. Nothing against the guy but don't bite the hand that feeds you. Does Jeb work ??

  • I think Jeb would say:

For each of those jobs you've listed, none of those people fit the criteria that he mentioned because none of them involve the same repetitive, meaningless tasks as the average 9-5 cubicle jockey.

He would probably applaud those people who chose to actually contribute to their society (like the doctors, nurses, educators, and so on) as opposed to enslaving themselves on a daily basis for the purposes of earning some mega corporation extra profit.

    see: Office Space

  • First of all this video is very thought provoking.

Now, it is arguable that people who work mundane, boring cubicle jobs are also contributing to society. Without them there would be no companies to make anything from cars, Q-tips or even the medical equipment that allowed those doctors to treat Jeb in the first place.

  • The contribution to society is only incidental to the profit motive that sparked the production of those same cars, q-tips, or even medical equipment that allowed those same doctors (cough, I mean fee-based saints) to treat Jeb in the first place.

Most of the 9-5ers work for a business. The goal of that business is profit, and the production of commodities, no matter how nice they are, is merely a means to the end of collecting profit. The goal of the 9-5er is sustenance plus comfort.

  • So what if those contributions were incidental to a goal of profit? That's what happens in a capitalist society, money is used as an incentive to motivate people to be productive. If the medical equipments get made and people get treated, who cares if the cubicle workers or the companies did it for the money, or if the doctors did it to collect fees? Do you have a better system in mind?

  • It means that profit was their goal and actually caring for people/contributing to society was not the goal, it was a means. (Which entails that you can't use "they were helping people!" as cause for their action. It is incidental and therefore not the intended result.)

You know, the Nazis conducted a lot of really important medical research... What does it mean? It means that the goal does NOT justify the method....

    "So what" just doesn't work.

  • The point is that the process is still quite alienated, quite mindless, and quite apart from the spontaneous existence that each of those 9-5ers doesn't have.

Does flying a wingsuit mean that your life is suddenly enlightened into a meaningful existence? Of course not.

But he does have an excellent point... despite the fact that he accidentally stumbled upon it.

Do I have a better system in mind? A lack of an alternative system doesn't replace the problems of the system in question.

  • the ends don't justify the means

and the means don't justify the ends

  • Jop, its true =)

  • this dude is crazy first he flys into a waterfall and brakes a bunch of bones then watches his friend hit a bridge in a wingsuit and get hit legs cut of and die...now he is tryin to land with a wing suit without a choot crazy man

  • but hes cool, and awesome at what he does.

  • True, this man just says what it's all about! Keep it up
