I was raised in a low socio ecconomic environment & remember as a child believing that the government was responsible for looking after everyone & that they were just being mean & not giving us enough money. I didnt understand that parents should work or support their families. I believe this is the main problem in povertial society & that education is the real solution.

@1988Amberlea I can only wish that they'd had welfare management measures when I was a child. Fortunately I was lucky enough to be placed with my mother as a small child but for my siblings my father looked at them as a cash crop & used the money for his own selfish fun while starving his children.

Mmmm, so why are there Aboriginal children and even babies with STD's ? Absolute animals. It is a scientific fact that Australian Aboriginals (overall) have one of the lowest IQ's of any race - not an opinion, FACT !!!!

Lateline is the racist show that helped howard & brough get public support for the intervention.Peddling lies with selective so called experts. I remember, one white woman makes some allegations on this show & all hell breaks loose on innocent people.Where is she now.Living her cozy lifesyle I bet.Whilst she helped cause a whole lota pain for others. Second rate show that has no credbility now that the intervention is a failure & found to be discriminative/racist & an excessive misuse of power.
