I love this. She really appreciates the natural way plants grow, delighting in the way plants in dry sites naturally space themselves. She and her husband wrote a number of native plant use books from the mid-80s through around 2002, very useful (and beautiful) books covering the Southwest, the central plains, the Southeast, and Texas (their former home state). All their books are enlightening and very user-friendly, good introductions to regional floras and native plants in general.
