"And it came to pass that as I, Nephi, went forth to slay food, behold, I did break my bow, which was made of fine steel; and after I did break my bow, behold, my brethren were angry with me because of the loss of my bow, for we did obtain no food. "
Uh, omiolo. I do know what "mythology" is: a set of stories, traditions, or beliefs associated with a particular group or the history of an event, arising naturally or deliberately fostered.
I've read the myths of the Sumerians, Egyptians, Greeks, etc. I've read the myths contained in the Vedas, Bible and the Book of Mormon. Myths borrowed from earlier myths, built upon yet other myths with specks of actual history sprinkled thru-out.
I don't know if Richard Packham told you or not but there really was Sumerians, Egyptians, Greeks and Jaredites. They aren't myths, they existed. there is even archaeological proof. Or is science a myth too?
There are plenty of videos on youtube showing the proof.
Omholio, I know there were Sumerians, Egyptians and Greeks. But Jaredites aren't even mythological; they were just plain made up. Aside from LDS apologists, there's no evidence of a race/group of ppl called the Jaredites who went to the New World in barges in pre-Colombian times. Richard Packham is entitled to believe in Jaredites if he wishes - and the pixies that live in my sock drawer, too!
Omiolo said (in part) "Aside from Catholic/Protestant apologists there is no evidence of anything in the Bible. What is your point?"
Whoa, dude. My point exactly. It's *all* made up. You just shot yourself in the foot. Actually, there are some factual parts to the Bible. Some actual historical sites, groups of ppls, certain kings/rulers, etc. Except for references to Jerusalem, tho, we can't say as much for the BoM.

today is the day you get educated. In my favorites video watch the videos by Clark. he will clear up your ignorance.

"Wild Beast Location" is a nice touch, as is the whole Liahona-cum-Magic 8 Ball thing.
