Apparently, the movie go mixed reviews. Some love it, some hate it. I haven't seen it yet myself, but I was going to try and find it on Netflix. It looks really cool.
The only thing scary about Joe Johnston's The Wolfman is that it exists. The fact that people, nay professionals, spent several years working on this picture genuinely upsets me! CGI is ridiculously overused - it looks like something to be played not watched! When will we return to visceral special effects? There is just not enough REAL effects. No wonder Tarentino refuses to use CGI!!!
I think that movie is just for kids, because the effects in movie is low, story - crap , and i think everyone can see it pefectly. Who think this movie was good, they must be younger than 12... But this is just my opinion. :D
@NovixLight I don't know what you're talking about, I thought it was a really good remake of the classic 1941 movie. And the makeup is awesome! I'm just learning how to do SFX makeup, and I LOVE Rick Baker's work.
....Number one, Benicio was too ethnic looking to play the role of an Englishman

Did you actually watch the movie? His mother was Spanish; possibly even a gypsie. And, personally, I thought the CGI was great. I really loved the waterfall.
I really enjoyed this movie, I watched it like 3 times and would watch it again but the only thing about it I don't understand is the wolfboy, and why they show him before he gets explained, and still didn't get explained very thoroughly, like why doesn't he even look like a wolf? it's odd to me is all.
@mannyseth92 It has a few plot problems and difficult pacing, but I also enjoyed it. I was highly entertained. The director's cut with the deleted scences is better than the theatrical release, particularly due to two deleted scenes, including one with Max Von Sydow.
@mannyseth92 Because it was totally ridiculous....Number one, Benicio was too ethnic looking to play the role of an Englishman and number two, the CGI effects all looked fake.

The only thing I didn't like about the movie is that some of the scenes were so dark it was hard to see the action.

OK, I'm rather dissapointed here. All this guy did was scan the photos from the Makeup Artist magazine #82 and make a slideshow...
I was expecting more...
