how do you make your eyelashes stay curl after applying mascara! as far as i know! whenever i curl my lashes and then apply mascara it just falls down! even when i heat my curler it still does the same!
do u know what color you would be in mac's foundation? im an nc30 and im really interested in the everyday minerals foundation! but idk what shade i would be.
Doesn't the everyday minerals flat top brush every make your makeup look cakey? I have it, actually I was so excited about it that I bought two the first time and i didn't really like it. I also do the spritz of fix+/mixing medium but my face still looks tooc akey. Please help! D
hello! i haven't tried everyday minerals yet, i recently just ordered my samples :D and i am very excited! i was wondering why you didn't use everyday minerals concealer, you used maybelline liquid mineral concealer instead.
ok, i'm just starting out w/ makeup. How do you match foundation/concealer shades w/ your own skin color. I could never figure that one out. I'm always afraid that it'll be too dark or light for my skin tone. And what's a primer?
I used BM for 4 years, EM has many, many more colors to match your skin tone, plus it's a way better value, you get 9 grams w/ full size EM, only 2g of BM w/ their kit, EM is just the best all around- the value and performance. I love it and I won't go back to BM now for it. Give it a try, they have great free sample kits and they last over a month. You won't find that at BM.
what kind of medium tan are you ? are you like golden or warm ? because im like your color and i would like to order from everyday minerals , but i dont know my color. please and thankyou
any foundation will feel caked on if u slap on enough hehe. but mineral foundation is lighter than most powders and foundations. but no, i don't put on enough to feel any kind of cakiness
This is so random but i think ur skin is gorgeous (even with all the flaws u've explained b4) ... i feel like u should be on a Dove Ad... or something like that.. he he he... :) :p
nope....no noticeable breakouts. i mean i've always had the occasional break out...but haven't noticed too much more than usual. it really depends on ur individual sensitivity tho
sometimes by mixing the foundation on the brush on the lid may cause bacteria on the jar and thenwhen you close it contaminates the whole jar so you should try using perhaps a small bowl or something to sift some foundation out then mixing it in that bowl after tapping some on the brush. just a suggestion, ohand i just subscribed :)
oh i just decided that powder wasn't the best idea for my blemishes n undereye area. i think i'll probably make a cream concealer out of the sunlight concealer and see how i like that. i feel that powder only accentuates the fine lines around my eye
oh no.. I didnt mean it like that. Its just that lighting I think, seeings though you look absolutely awsom in every other vid. Its just the lighting in this one that made it look like that. Soz lol, no hard feelings. Even though I sounded like a bi-artch. Sorry.
in bare minerals the foundation colors that matches me is in the tan family. it was either medium cool tan or the medium neutral tan. which foundation in EM would work for me?
oi THANK YOU SO MUCH. lovely comment =). i'm not a MUA YET. i'd love to get started on it tho. i can't decide between MUA or massage therapist. i LOVE both hehe
i was wondering what shade you are in BE. i love BE and im looking for a cheaper alternative! ehehe im Flippina as well... i have a yellowish undertone and as you know its harder to find the perfect foundation because its normally reddish undertones that i find.. i tried EDM samples but i didnt get the right colors right away... ill go back and check again! ehehe
I loooove all your videos! They are simple with great results : ) I was just wondering but what brushes do you normally use? Are there any that you would recommend?
hey, i love your videos :) about the foundation, do you think the intensive formula feels heavy on your skin? i might buy my first sample kit from everyday minerals and i was wondering if that formula would be good. thanks :)
i find that for myself the EDM intensive doesn't seem heavy at all. but then again i've been using mineral foundations for several years. i can't really say how it would feel on ur skin if this is ur first time trying mineral foundations =). wish i could help more
thanks for replying to my question so fast. ok so i went out and bought the monistat gel today, gonna give that a try :)always having to buy more crap...haha... I just wanted to know your thoughts on mineral foundation/makeup versus regular. do u think it works better? I'm adjusting to it slowly...I think..lol
really it all depends on the type of finish & coverage you want ur foundation to have =). if you're oily n prone to blemishes your best bet is mineral foundation. but this can look too powdery for some...not the best foundation if you're a fan of having that yummy dewy radiant glow. but u can achieve that by using a spritz of mixing medium after applying or using MAC's mineralized skinfinish natural as your finishing powder. i feel it gives great luminescence =)
and of course if you have normal to dry skin you would want to stick with either cream or liquid foundations =). you'll just need to find a good finishing powder that really sets the cream/liquid foundation well =). i LOVE mineral makeup for it's flexibility and ability to build coverage =). awesome for oily complexions like mine!!
I enjoy your videos and thanks for doing them. I'm thinking of going back to mineral makeup after using BM for a few years. I'm a true brown girl with golden undertones and the deep is too red for me and started to make me itchy. So, thanks for the EM review. I wanted to say that I too get hyper-pigmentation easily and you should definitely try Palmer's fade cream. I could see results within the first few days on my newer scars. Check makeup alley for more reviews though. :)
I think i'm the same shade as you, and i too have a few blemishes. but i also notice that i have to reapply on my nose after a few hours. Please let me know if the finishing dust helps.. i have an oil control issue... my oil is not under control....
LOVE the finishing dust! ok so with bare minerals i used to have to apply finishing powder throughout the day i'd say at LEAST 3 times a day. and with the use of a primer and the silk dust from EDM i'd say i do a touchup of the finishing dust like ONCE during the whole day and i'm good. i even think the silk dust finishing dust made the EDM look fresh and new as the day went on and i'd dust it on! LOVE IT!!
I think I am in love with EDM. I found my shade at first try(beige fairly light intensive)! Coverage is beautiful and it stayed all day.(I just had to minor touch ups on my nose). I ordered finishing dust and hopely it helps oil control. Thanks for great vids!!
hey Cat! aww i am kinda annoyed now because I followed your advice and went to the everyday minerals website, oh man, now i want to buy all this stuff hehehe =) anywho, thx so much for bringing your beauty-n-tips to youtube, love the vids and i can't wait to make some of my own videos soon. keep it hot girl! laterz!!! =)
haahaha makeup has sucked SO MUCH money outta me LOL. but i LOVE it so much! at the very least, for mineral makeups....Everyday Minerals is pretty well priced to sell =D
yep =). or u can focus it mainly on oily areas or where u have larger pores. it's basically can work as a foundation primer just as well as the more expensive brands like smashbox, mac, laura mercier. they have all the same ingredients, tho i'd say that the monistat is a bit thicker so use it sparingly on ur face underneath ur foundation. it'll help to adhere the foundation n keep it in place while seperating it from your skin n locking ur moisturizer IN underneath it =)
Hi...I was wondering about the mixing medium you used based on Enkore's formula...It's a 1:3 (glycerine:water), right? Doesn't the make your your face sticky/tacky? When I use a ratio of 1:9 just for a moisture spray, it feels slightly sticky...
ooh it's super easy. i usually take my tweezers n stick the pointed edge of the tweezing side in between the seam where the sifter n jar meet. then with the tweezer in the seam, i turn the tweezer clockwise to seperate it a bit....then take the opposite side of the tweezer, stick in the seperated seam and turn again to widen it more. continue around the jar like opening a coffee can =). voila! NO MORE SIFTER!
:P...If you have short unmanicured fingernails like I do, I just pry the sifter off with them...They're not very very firmly attached...Of course, just in case a "mineral powder explosion" occurs, I do it over my thrashcan :P
i love seeing how other people apply their EDM, and thank you for saying that bare minerals rever upper stuff was an acne treatment because i never knew what it was for! i'm off to check out those brow vids.. haha at first i thought you were nakey! i guess a good way to avoid fallout.. lol
yay thanks for putting this tutorial up. i absolutely love all yuor tutorials actually...keep it up. BTW, its just called FLAT TOP...not FLAT TOP KABUKI. Kabuki is a diff brush altogether...kabuki has a dome at the tip of the brush :) and yes i would advise u to use your wet minerals by mixing it up in a diff bowl n not on the cap of your foundation
Btw be careful with using the lid, you can trasnfer bacteria into your clean foundations. I use a separate bowl cuz when I used to use the lid, it broke me out cuz of oil transfers :(
so far my face has done ok with both EDM and BE. i haven't noticed any extra breakouts or anything too crazy. i did start using an exfoliating daily face wash RIGHT when i started using mineral foundations again tho....to kind of prevent that before it could start. also i LOVE the monistat so far n haven't noticed extra blackheads. i do a mask every week tho so it stops that as well. did u try any of that when u tried both EDM n the Monistat?
Yup, I do deep exfoliating 2-3 times a month and mask once a week. I even go to my derma who highly suggested I use a separate container. The Monistat overtime broke me out, I used it for months and noticed zero break out until recently. So I had to stop using it.
You HAVE to try the Medium Intensive Concealer, it is like using sunlight, multi-tasking and mint concealer in one :D It works so well for the under eye :) Figured I'd let you know :) Also has Monistat made you break out yet? It gave me such horrible blackheads :(
i did buy the full size sunlight concealer...tho i will most likely use it for when i'm more sleep deprived n the dark undereye circles r too much to bear LOL. the sunlight concealer is awesome at neutralizing dark brown/purple blemishes/discoloration but for myself...i think i prefer a cream type concealer more for it's staying power. i may try the sunlight concealer w/a mixing medium tho to see if it helps it stick more =)
