  • Draft Doddger ..... MAN the fuck up the freedom we have in Australia is aint because of you

  • I have that record on cassette.

  • what happened to Dear Danni?

  • I remember a very young reporter by the name of Samantha Waterhouse, probably mid to late 80's era of the show, always wondered what happened to her, very pretty young girl and possibly could have continued in television longer term, but it never happened, it would be interesting to know what became of her, she is one of the lesser known reporters looking back, but ironically very well remembered by me.

  • @cybermanification - I remember Samantha Waterhouse as the original "Dear Danni". I can also remember her appearing on The Midday Show with Ray Martin on the strengh of her performance on STWW.

  • Good Wholesome After School Education. Why they ditched this for the crap that is the Bold and the Beautiful I don't know.I would prefer a good dose of Simon over a slow soap that not even the Winners and Losers/OC/90210 generation can't relate to

  • @snoopy99990 I know. It's sad isn't it how much kids miss out these day on the great TV show we had on after school

  • OMG, Alita was my drama teacher at school back in the mid 80's.

  • Ah, yes, Alita Fahey... was she cute or what?

  • Good, wholesome after-school education. How I wish this ridiculous, techo era of spoilt brats would revert. A complusory dose of Simon would do them wonders!

  • Wow before Catriona Rowntree. Angela Catterns

  • I think I was in the habit of playing the Aussie tracks on that album repeatedly and ignoring internationals like PHD, Tom Petty, Juice Newton... My older brother had firm ownership over '1982 with a Bullet'! That was something we were not allowed to touch!

  • @GillianSydney I had 1981 with a bullet. It was my first ever LP. I played ONJ "make a move on me" till Mum was sick of it

  • @JiminyKracker I've still got it...and the horse book and the binoculars and the cloth patch they sent as well LOL

  • @Normkangaroo Serious? That's awesome!

  • Does't simon look like Chopper in this one

  • My Dad worked on this show. He has nothing but fond memories of it. It would have been such a fantastic show to be part of.

  • I loved this programme! I used to send in pictures of my gorgeous dog but they sent them all back with a sorry letter and stickers lol

My dog should have gotten on but I think they were afreaid she'd upstage Woodrow

  • Ha ha ha, I loved Simon Townsend's Wonder World when I was a kid. I thought Jono Coleman was so cute and I loved Anita too! That 1981 Over The Top LP was a household treasure for 6 months before it getting scratched to death. Is there more Wonder World stuff besides this?

  • Oh, god, my forgettable child hood, yep, 4:30 every week day afternoon on channel ten, I was glued to old simon. and that 1981 over the top LP, yep, I've got that and all the others still sitting in a box in the garage somewhere :)

  • Ha ha, you and I both. We should be proud to be of that generation of Aussies who gotten an after-school education from old Simon Townsend!
