  • I think everybody knows even before the watched the vid, that this isn't requiem.

    So stop whining!

  • white power

  • OMG i'm sooo sorry anyone understand that Requiem it's not only Mozart's Requiem but is just one kind of song!! Ps:Beautiful video and the song it's really appropriate

  • Embarrassing how all those know-alls think they would have to say thats its not the requiem from the movie requiem for a dream. Guys requiem is just one kind of songs.

  • NO ES REQUIEM!!!!!!!! ES EL CLARO DE LUNA DE BEETHOVEN!!! XDDDD mas quisira Mozart tener esta obra entre sus manos.

  • The actual soundtrack to the film is the only thing that makes it good.. why would you take this music and put it over a shit film

  • This song played during the older Dracula movies of the 70's, namely a soap opra named Dark Shadows, staring Barnibus Collins.

  • the music makes the video very sad 'p

  • The movie was a bit purple. I would have enjoyed it more if they would have simply made a movie of Rosemary Sutcliffe's Sword at Sunset.

  • Favorite piece of classical music. Ever.

  • the beginning sounds like the beginning of Hier Kommt Alex from Die Toten Hosen

  • A Requiem is a song that honors the dead. It says in the description the song is Beethoven's Moonlight sonata. So this is A Requiem not THE Requiem.

  • Sonata FROM Finland Keep it UP

  • who cares ok? the song is still beautiful!

  • Sorry but why take a movie with some of the most beautiful modern music and put some of the most beatiful old music over it? Can't we have the original soundtrack?

  • this is not requiem! its moonlight sonata! lmao.......

  • @macmerith this has been answered already but maybe too long ago? I am aware of what the piece of music is It is titled "Requiem" as a Requiem is music to honour the dead! It is A Requiem.... Not The requiem!

  • @macmerith nobody said, that the song is called requiem...

just read the fucking info of the video.

  • Sorry, but this is not Reqiem or sonata al chiar di luna di Chopin!!!

This is Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven!

  • @irina29713 this has been answered already but maybe too long ago? I am aware of what the piece of music is It is titled "Requiem" as a Requiem is music to honour the dead! It is A Requiem.... Not The requiem!

  • @irina29713 Missa defunctorum - Mass of the dead

  • But...this is sonata al chiar di luna di Chopin. Wonderful!

  • Wow bro!!!!!!! Absolutely amazing music choice one of my favorite pieces of music.

  • This is not Requiem...is Moonlight Sonata (Beethoven) !!!

  • this has been answered already but maybe too long ago? I am aware of what the piece of music is It is titled "Requiem" as a Requiem is music to honour the dead! It is A Requiem.... Not The requiem!

  • This movie was way out of whack as far as attempting a historical background. For one thing the Battle of Badon Hill, supposedly Arthur's first major victory, was 70-90 years after the Roman Legions left Britain..

And the idea that Arthur had Sarmatian warriors has been largely discounted, but they were present with the Romans, the Alans, the Rus and others in the legions assigned to Britain, and influenced the legends in their own turn.

  • who cares..you expecting percise historical accuracy from a hollywood flick is a joke to begin with.

  • The more I watch this movie, the more I want to laugh. I'm not sure where they came up with half of their back story. Just typical Hollywood BS.

  • moonlight sonata by beethoven

  • Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven.

  • This is not requiem this sonata :)

  • this has been answered already but maybe too long ago? I am aware of what the piece of music is It is titled "Requiem" as a Requiem is music to honour the dead! It is A Requiem.... Not The requiem!

  • @nefariousinfallible

    It's no Requiem !!!!

it's a Sonata. It is dedicated to his pupil, 17-year-old Countess Giulietta Guicciardi, with whom Beethoven was, or had been, in love.

  • @nefariousinfallible God I feel bad for you with all these people misunderstanding you. PEOPLE READ THE DESCRIPTION OR COMMENTS FIRST BEFORE WATCHING A VIDEO.

  • To jest Księżycowa Sonata Ludwika van Beethovena. Jedna z najsłynniejszych Sonat w historii muzyki.

This Moonlight Sonata (Piano Sonata) No.14 in C-minor Op. 27 No.2 - Ludwig van Beethoven.

Beautiful!!! this music is my love!!

    Hugs from Poland:)

  • awsome movie

  • Good job,Thanks for posting this.

  • Very well done.

  • such a fitting melody to the movie well done!!

  • thank you for posting this. i cry for the suffering of humanity, the inhumanity of man upon man. on this day of remembrance i feel the weight of death of those who died to save those of us who remain - and still the wars go on !

what in the name of humanity are we doing ???

    robbiew8n

  • We're evolving, growing, finding a new way to be, but we need to refind the concept of honor, we need to remember that our greatest purpose is to help and fight for those who cannot fight for themselves.

  • hi baycat57

the concept of honor and respect of self and others seems to be disappearing. take what you want and never mind the harm to others seem to be emerging... is this how civilisation will die....?

  • Well, now and then I have my doubts, (see the Republicans in the US) but I don't think so. The universe (or God if you will) favors a positive outcome. So long as there are people who believe in what's right, who want to fight for it, then civilization can't fail. If you don't believe, just look at how many movies are made where the heroes win and justice is served? It's what people want. But then, I'm an optimist.

  • heya baycat57

how i hope that you are right and i am wrong. so many movies aspire to inspire people but i am not so sure it is working. i still have hope - i too am an eternal optimist - yet i fear that if we passively await improvements then they will not happen - we need to become more proactive - but i have no idea how.

    good wishes fellow traveler

    robbiew8n

  • Hey, Rob,

I'm not passive, I'm a writer! Hopefully those who read my stories will see something that inspires them to aspire.

There are small things that you can do. First let go of the things that divide people like country of birth, religion and politics. Hold yourself and those around you to a higher standard., live a life of honor (don't cheat and don't brag). All you can control is yourself. Live well. Good wishes back at you.

  • heya baycat57

sorry - i didn't mean that i thought you were passive - i meant society as a whole - the indifferent, passive and selfish seem to outnumber or weigh down those who seek to improve and uplift both themselves and society. bit by bit they drag us down to the lowest common denominator. believe me when i say i fight it but even my partner dragged me down, i crossed a line before i realised it - and it's hard to get back to the good place. TC robbiew8n

  • ive been told its a sickness to care, its a lie

  • hi mystsilverdragon

i wonder sometimes if caring is a sickness. i care so much for others that i am left feeling drained and ill..... and yet i continue to care. perhaps i am cursed to care for the uncaring???

    robbiew8n

  • those who care will watch yes :)

  • If ye are unable to watch those ye care for make wrong decisions and therefore die, ye are not called to battle

  • How can you fight if you do not watch?

  • some of us are led to battle and some of us are not

  • nmen die for desire of that which they should nopt have and when attained...........they die for the same, sad really but true, they seek n othing beyond them, they despise anything beyond them etc and so forth

  • 1.30 I hate when Dago dies! he was de best. Quiet but full of harth. >in My eyes...

  • Very nicely done! This is one of my favorite movies. Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata is one of my favorite pieces of music. I really enjoyed this. Thank you.

  • wow, best movie + beautiful music

Ich finde, hier sieht man gut, wie die Musik einen Film verändern kann. wie viel Gefühl nur durch die Musik vermittelt wird... Mit der Sonate wirken all die Szenen wie ein schöner, trauriger Tanz!

    Thanks for sharing!

  • It's so cool that so many more people love this movie...I thought I was on an island since H-wood totally discarded this movie! F H-wood! this is my 2nd fav movie of all time next to Last of the Mohicans!

  • people look for things in others, they will Never Find.......fantasy is fantasy.............reality no one wants to see, and thats ok becasue if they havent the balls to see reality, they arent worth even glancing upon

  • yes, we sould see the reality. and I'm sur that the past wasen't that romantic like we see it today!

but this movies make us beliving in sth. What sould we belive in today? everything is going to break in the future! what sould we fight for today? for a country? there are no countrys today, there are no enemys. there is no freedom. there is just the money .... and when we watch film like this we see a reality were it was worth to live and die for sth.

  • WoW thats so Wonderful!

    I Love it!

    Thank u for it!

  • You have done so well in the combination of the two things, the Sonanta has always been something that can bring me to tears with no effort and the visual array of this most excellent story makes it all the more poiniant.

please forgive any spelling errors as I talk better than I write. .

The "All Mother" and the "Horned God" were and are still strong in the british isles and other places.

  • Beethoven's Piano Sonata 14 ("Moonlight"), first movement.

  • i believe this is called the moonlight sonata by beethoven

  • Dude the roman gods you actually mentioned bellow are actually greek gods adopted by the romans Jupiter = Zues, Saturn = Cronos, Pluto = Hades, Mars = Ares, etc

  • The Romans gods were from a mixture of influences. Before Rome became a big city, Latium was settled by the Latins, who believed in many gods and spirits. As Rome grew it came into contact with the Greeks, who had a complex Pantheon of their own. It seems that the Roman gods were a mix of those two main influences; Latin and Greek. In many cases the Romans found there was a Latin and a Greek god for one and the same thing. They tended to take the two and make them one.

  • please tell me the name of this song

  • moonlight sonata. i think its movement 1

  • Comment removed

  • I love the legend of King Arthur.

  • It's obviously the first movement of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, if you knew anything about classical music, you would know that.

  • isn't it moonlight sonata

  • what's the name of this music?it's beautiful....

  • moonlight sonata <3 <3 <3

  • Look 4 cryin out loud it is a film BASED UPON a british myth. so wat if they added crossbows into it and it " isnt historically acurate" ITS A FILM!

  • I disagree with your point " structure of society" Rundogz..

Where is " pro partria pro populi indgena"

The principal law of the republic.

No "Romani et mortis" the ashes their culture are all thats

  • Obviously the modern world differs somewhat to Roman society, but then things change & Rome changed, it had to. But the modern view of the world has evolved from Rome & the Roman Church has continuously shaped science & morals. The latin speaking clergy, the use of latin in medicine and law, the role of men. The mechanical Roman view of the world permiates the modern mind, the troops may have gone, but the empire remained in church and state, ashes for sure, but very hot ones.

  • ur right, and i agree, but i still hate their guts. i find them homosexual faggots that enjoy thinking that their on top of the world which i really really disaprove. But what u said is true and i agree with u 100%, and good way of puttin it together ;)

  • Thanks mate, I don't like them either. All that gulit about sex and holier than thou rubbish.

If they were raising the dead and walking on water I might be tempted to take them seriously, but they're just another bunch blowing off about how they have all the answers without any proof as far as I can see.

  • Partly true but the true idea of Rome was born and died with Ceaser & Octavian (Augustus) ... although not perfect and never without peace. Both wanted a state of more or less equals - and a more social state. And God is not the Roman Church - it is still Isreals god over taken with no offence. The true Roman Gods are Jupiter, Juno, Janus, Mars and so on - when Rome became christian it seems that true Roman Gods left - and the empire broke up and became weak.

  • Personally I reckon Israels God was actually that created by Arkenaten the 'bastard' King of Egypt who created the one God faith and whose followers were driven out of Egypt.

Rome crafted xtianity for its own purpose as a tool of power. The myths of the Roman dieties of Attis, the Cybele and Mithras are the story of the virgin birth, the resurrection and the crucifixion. Rome merely reclothed its chief Gods, they never went away. Pope Emperor Constantine was the start of Roman religious power.

  • Most religions had a virgin birth. Isis managed to conceive Horus vlong after Seth had removed Osiris' penis. The Egyptians also followed the idea that the mind of God was like a diamond; all one thing but with many facets, hence the many gods all being there, but the texts of Thoth, named later by the Greeks as the Hermetic texts, mentioning oy one God. All Akhenaten did was remove the facets of God's personality and in doing so stripped much of the power from the priesthood.

  • In the year AD 312 The emperor Constantine the Great said he had had a sign from the god of the Christians in a dream in the night before he had an important battle. Emperor Constantine won this battle and showed his gratitude to the Christian god by turning his entire empire over to this new religion.

The Roman Empire based on Rome collapsed and effectively ended in AD 480 when Theodoric the Great, King of the Ostrogoths, conquered Italy.

  • In the East, based on Constantinople, known then as Byzantium, a sort-of Roman empire continued until 1453 when the city and the regions fell to the Ottoman Turks.

  • Sort of? It was Roman Empire the Eastern Roman Empire was roman the name was Roman Empire ant not Eastern or Byzantine

  • It was in 476 that Western Roman Empire collapsed when Odoacer a barbarian general in service of Emperor revolt with his men declaring himself ruler the Ostrogoths came after that Emperor Constantine saw the sign in Sun in dayligth not in dream at nigth

  • The Roman empire may have supposedly ceased to exist but its legacy lives on, in the structure of society, in and through religion. Official UK history for instance begins effectively at the Roman conquest, as if we are Roman, as if before that we weren't a nation. The British empire was founded on the principles of Rome, the religion manipulated and centered on Rome. The EU, created in the image of Rome, even to the extent of the latest idea of bringing in the Middle East and North Africa.

  • This film is just an attempt to destroy history. The Artherian myth is found all over the celtic lands of France, Ireland , England, Scotland and Wales, from the time we were one nation. The poison of Rome was what destroyed Druidism and cut the heart out of the celts. Rome and the other false gods still rule, which is why they want to bastardise the myth of Arthur.

  • Who does Rome still rule?

  • how did they destroy Irish druidism.

  • Well, the Emperor or Pope as he is, sent his missionaries and converted the Irish from their proud faith to the faith sanctioned by Rome. That's why the Irish have nuns/ Vestel Virgins, the Virgin Mary, previously known as the Cybele, and Jesus, otherwise known as Attis, along with some elements of Mithras. Rome systematically slaughtered the Druids of England, Wales, Gaul & in part Scotland, they built on sacred sites & stamped out our knowledge and worship of nature, making us bow to them.

  • The Irish did not just convert it happened over hundreds of years both druidism and Christianity lives together in Irish society brehon law was drudistic and it lived in parts of Ireland until 1603 when the last Irish kingdoms surrendered to the English. its a pity the English did not realize how much Superior brehon law was to English

  • I've no doubt that druidic law was better than Roman (English) law. although elements of druidism have lived on in Ireland, they have been for the most part Christianized/Romanized. I know that many saints were previous Gods/Goddesses, but that's a pale sham of a once proud faith. The Irish may make tokens of veneration of trees, worship of mountains and the like, but they are but shadows of what druidism was. The reality is most Irish worship a Roman 'God' & the sanctioned Roman religion.

  • Hey douche... it was a good film. So get over yourself.

  • Weird film.

The Knights were described as Scythian horsemen - i.e. not Britons at all and this clip shows crossbows which hadn't been invented them.

    Just another Hollywood faux history.

After all, we can't have the British featuring in their own history as its not inclusive and PC.

  • its a film based on a myth.. so get over yourself

  • Hey, loser, get over yourself, it was a good film. Did it ever occur to you that not all "historically acurate(which this film never claimed to be)" films are historically acurate? Get over it, you fucking douche.

  • actually, they were invented then.

  • what does Requiem for? not from a english speching country so...

  • one of the worst movies by clive owen

  • very good.. i like it♥

    xD

  • well done, the music is some what old (beethoven :p) but I like it.

    you did a good job

  • This is the first movie my little brother bought without my parents permission. Mom said it wasnt the movie that made her mad or even the rebellion of the act. She said it was that the one he bought was labled in huge letters EXPLICIT! that made her mad :-)

  • haha if this is horrendous then what are the saw movies, etc.? I could hardly get through this, so im glad ive never seen those ones

  • Cataphracts

  • The horses armour at the end, and the standard, is taken from archaeological evidence for cavalry ceremonial equipment. Ok, a bit of film designer's licence but not absurd. The Romans loved show and had rather vulgar and gaudy taste some wouold say.

  • Mozart do the famous Requiem K 626 but "requiem" is a simphony for the dead people, so the Moonlight Sonata is a requiem too!

  • very nice, music sound quality must be a little bit more dramatic :)

  • I think you did a great job by putting these scenes together with Beethoven's masterpiece.

I can totally understand why you gave it that title but I have to admit that I watched the video expecting a part of a requiem. You could have called it 'In Memoriam' or something like that.

    :) just saying, no offense

  • Thats not requiem my friend;)

    this is beethoven's moonsonate

  • Well "my friend" you are correct it is not Mozart - Requiem It is Beethoven moonlight sonata not moonsonate! I am aware of this! For future reference a Requiem Is a prayer/musical composition to honour the dead! Mozart wrote a Requiem not the Requiem! This is a tribute to the deceased charecters in the movie so therefore I titled it Requiem! A little Research perhaps before miscorrecting people?

  • No my dear I am 10 years older and 10 years wiser than you! thanks for your witty and well thought out reply , you need not have bothered!

  • so... your 13 ,rightt...

    But its ok......:)

  • I said 10 years older THAN YOU! Now go away!If i wished to trade insults with a trained monkey i would go to the circus!

  • gg. wp.

  • I so love this film! The story, the characters, the Brotherhood! the scenery, and all with not Magic just mere mortals!

  • moonlight sonata

  • that's no requiem, thats the mondscheinsonate from beethoven

  • minkia è troppo moscio <.<

  • if that massive knight dude (i thnk it was bor) didnt die breakn th ice, i rekn he wudve owned th saxon boss dude at th end

  • It isn't bore! maybe not possible, but not boring

  • ^^^^^

    Twat

  • This movie was actually better done than I thought. I figured another Braveheart. Almost entirely inaccurate and over exaggerated.

  • I'm just so happy they fought for freedom and ended up setting the first monarchy in england. Which is followed by many other monarchies and centuries of tyranny as we know from world history 101 =).

  • Gratz on creating on a piece of art. good combo

  • Arthur rules

  • This was the most beautiful video with classical music that I have ever seen.

    thank you.

  • the song is called moonlight sontana by beethovan its my favorite

  • nice done and beautiful music!!!

    I love this movie!!!!

  • Sarmat may rhyme with croat but..there is no connections. Al least, no direct one.

  • Read something about history and you'll find a lot of connections!

  • If you saw the beginning of this film you could see that Lancelot, Tristan, Bors... are SARMATS. Now you know Sarmats as Croats! I'm Sarmat(Croat) and I'm proud that my forefathers were so brave fighting with king Arthur!

PROUD TO BE HRVAT(CROAT or SARMAT or HARAHVAT or KROATIEN)

  • are you crazy? sarmats lived in southern ukraine and russia...croatians are slavic people from area of todays poland

  • croats=sarmats ruled over slavic tribes.. they lived in a kind of a community.. It's really not easy to explain that whole mass about croatian origin.. but if you're interested in, I'll recommend you some rare books written about that..

  • sarmats(croats) ruled over slavic tribes.. they lived in a kind of a community.. it's really not easy to explain whole story about croatian origin, but if you are interested in, I'll recommend you some rare books writter about that :)

  • sarmatbots, more correct would be that Slavs are sarmatian elites+protoSlavic farmers. That is, Slavs appeared when some pre-slavic tribes (Balts?) mixed with Iranic tribes (Sarmatian Croats, Serbs, Ants etc)

  • very yes!

  • Only you know your fathers and can feel their blood in yours. Always remember and be proud.

  • I second that Cecile. beautiful video nefarious. :)

  • Well done. +1

  • Love it, got a tear in my eye....

  • What is a requiem?

  • a requiem is a prayer for the salvation of the souls of the departed ...

    christian stuff

  • What is a requiem?

  • I really can't understand why they voted thumbs down for you. Maybe they were thinking about it too but were too ashamed to ask. If you don't know some word or something, ask it. You did the right thing, Klobbs!

  • Great editing and wonderful choice of the Moonlight Sonata as a fitting requiem. Thanks for the effort--kudos!

  • Hi, this is magical!! I love the combination of the video and the music...nice job!!

  • Hauntingly beautiful video. This is one of my favorite films and I really enjoyed the melancholy classical number you tied in with it. Wonderful job!
