You CAN'T compare YOU playing! Everyone of us is either used to a controller or mouse+keyboard. Almost noone can be GREAT at both of them. From your play I can for 100% sure tell, that you're playing on PC and you're used to PC, because you totally SUCK with the controller. @WipEagle I play black ops quite well on BOTH Xbox and PC (steady 1.5 K/D ratio), but when I try to use gamepad on PC, I get RAPED! You might think it's down to how gamepad on PC doesn't have aim assist but even if I turn off aim assist on Xbox I don't get raped as badly.
I can't get any kills face-to-face gamepad vs mouse+KB, only by camping + spraying, and it's not just the speed of the mouse, with keyboard players are able to dart side to side SO QUICK.

Gamepad vs mouse is HUGELY important as a small but significant minority of games get console-only release with no option of mouse aim, and that pisses off people who DO know they play better with a gamepad.
But the publishers TELL BARE FACED LIES that it's just as good with gamepad when that is simply not true. And with multiplats they push console versions as being just as good controls, it's more lies.

What I can see is that you're naturally a PC player than a console player. Obviously you'll be better with Keyboard/Mouse. So it's quite easy to make comments like "oh the analog sticks are clumsy". It may also be the case that certain games were specifically "designed" or optimized with PC in mind. Halo hit the Xbox (console) first. Quite a while later it was on the PC. I'd much rather play that game on the console. It just feels more natural to be there. As for Quake? Probably PC. Just because "OMG QUAKE IS PCCCCzzzz" doesn't mean the every game in history just follows suit.
@halo3productions911 the original halo platform was in alpha testing for a Windows/Mac release. when it was re-developed for an xbox release, they had to redesign the hud/net code/UI aim assist. Yes UI aim assist. this was stated in an old press conference a while back in 2003 on the old bungie net. Yes, everyone has a preference of either controller or m&kb. But precision with a mouse will always be superior, but you already know this.
Just cause you're not used to a controller doesn't make a mouse+keyboard better overall. It's user preference. I play on xbox and I'm dead accurate and I used to play CS on PC. Depends on the skills you hone down. I will say this: the very minute movement of your mouse is done with your entire hand and wrist motions, versus a controller which uses very sensitive and small, very controllable parts of your body, your thumbs. If you get used to it, it's much more natural, along with trigger buttons

On COD, I personally can use the controller and dominate on PC no different than xbox games. It's about your skills and how good you are at using a controller or using a keyboard and mouse.

@PancakePlease But you can also set the sensitivity of the mouse higher. The mouse allows the player to flick shots which is much much faster that than the stick on the controller. For simpler example, imagine using a computer with a controller. Say you're the best in the world with a controller, no one is better than you. Can you launch an application on the desktop with a controller faster than me with a mouse with 10 tries? Your score might be 3 out of 7.

You can actually do pretty much everything at once on PC, except moving right while pressing crouchtoggle, switching weapons while going left. Pulling out a killstreak while moving forward. Throwing a grenade while shooting (like, controls limited, can't do it anyway but wth).
Oh and the controls are changable. So i could come up with a setup that uses the 3 extra buttons on my mouse so I can do absolutely everything at once.

What I can see is that you're naturally a PC player than a console player. Obviously you'll be better with Keyboard/Mouse. So it's quite easy to make comments like "oh the analog sticks are clumsy". It may also be the case that certain games were specifically "designed" or optimized with PC in mind. Halo hit the Xbox (console) first. Quite a while later it was on the PC. I'd much rather play that game on the console. It just feels more natural to be there. As for Quake? Probably PC. Just because "OMG QUAKE IS PCCCCzzzz" doesn't mean the every game in history just follows suit.

Yes UI aim assist. this was stated in an old press conference a while back in 2003 on the old bungie net. Yes, everyone has a preference of either controller or m&kb. But precision with a mouse will always be superior, but you already know this.

Just cause you're not used to a controller doesn't make a mouse+keyboard better overall. It's user preference. I play on xbox and I'm dead accurate and I used to play CS on PC. Depends on the skills you hone down. I will say this: the very minute movement of your mouse is done with your entire hand and wrist motions, versus a controller which uses very sensitive and small, very controllable parts of your body, your thumbs. If you get used to it, it's much more natural, along with trigger buttons

For simpler example, imagine using a computer with a controller. Say you're the best in the world with a controller, no one is better than you. Can you launch an application on the desktop with a controller faster than me with a mouse with 10 tries? Your score might be 3 out of 7.

You can actually do pretty much everything at once on PC, except moving right while pressing crouchtoggle, switching weapons while going left. Pulling out a killstreak while moving forward. Throwing a grenade while shooting (like, controls limited, can't do it anyway but wth).
Oh and the controls are changable. So i could come up with a setup that uses the 3 extra buttons on my mouse so I can do absolutely everything at once.
I'm used to default though :)
